Do you think there will be an outcry over this , Like what we see aimed at the Catholic Church?

    I wondered the same thing.

    Especially since the article says:

"One of the people arrested in England was a woman, officials said. Others included teachers, boy scout leaders and police officers."

Will we see an all out verbal attack on teachers, boy scout leaders and police officers? Consider also, that the education system and the boy scouts were already embroiled in cover ups over the years and the media and public have failed to take much interest.

    Quoting from the story:

"One of the people arrested in England was a woman, officials said. Others included teachers, boy scout leaders and police officers."

I doubt there will be cries of outrage against women, teachers, boy scout leaders or police officers. The point of the "outrage" was never about the crimes comitted against the innocent. The point was to find something-anything to use against an organization that it was fun to hate.

Nope. No outcry. Unless some were Catholic. Then all hell will be unleashed.

No outcry. Media dont make money out of it. If that was a catholic thing, then all the $$$signs magnet will come into play. That's how they use the catholic church to pursue their evil deeds.

    Not at all likely.

The specific targetting of the Catholic Church by the media (when the problem is actually worse in some other denominations) is due to an intrinsic anti-Catholic bigotry which derives from hundreds of years of anti--Catholic persecution and discrimination.

In this case, the perpetrators appear to be homosexual, so political correctness will ensure that their beliefs, sexual persuasion etc. will not be an issue.

There SHOULD be, but it will take a very long time. Look at how long it took for the outcry over the Catholic Church's pedophile scandal :(

I doubt it because it involves the whole world. No one can point fingers at one group like they do with the Catholic Church. Peadophiles are all peadophiles so that's that. Poor children.

No. I think it is reasonable to suppose that people joining something with a name like 'boylover.com' are pederasts, and are aware of what they are up to.

On the other hand, people joining something called the Roman Catholic Church do not expect to meet pederasts or introduce members of their family to them at a young age, so the element of surprise is missing and people are likely to make much less fuss than they did when the stuff about the RC church came out.

@St Thecla: It is very difficult for normal churchgoers to retain their faith in a church (as opposed to its creed or liturgy) if the members who make up that church consider the public exposure (by what you term 'the Media' ) of a deep rooted morass of sin, to be an 'evil deed'.
