2 OS's on 1 computer?
Here's the scene...Bought a new mp3 player today. Was excited until I got it home and realized it doesnt work with windows 7:(. I like the player so don't want to take it back. It runs on win vista, xp or 2000.
Started looking into options. Have obtained win xp but it seems I can't petition my hd because it's already taken up with other stuff. Was thinking bout buying an external hd and installing xp on it. Would this work and allow me to boot either win 7 or xp when I start up?
Any other options or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance:)

just run a virtual machine and install the os in that. Use Vmware or virtual box.
