Try to go directly to the website instead of searching it through google. IF that doesn't work, then try ti disable any firewalls if you have any active. Might prevent you from surfing the internet. If still no luck then try using a different browser. Such as firefox or Google Chrome. Or set your browser settings to default.

check for an external WiFi switch on the netbook, if that dosnt work check your routers settings and make sure the netbook's IP Address is enabled.
