How do you incorporate a systolic beat into poetry?

I am writing a poem for a school assessment and was suggested to incorporate it but am unsure of how to put it in.

I'm presuming that by 'systolic' someone means 'like a heartbeat' and wants to sound clever.

An iambic beat is like a heartbeat - da-DUM da-DUM da-DUM - but it would need to be very regular for the comparison to work, I would think. You could pick any number of feet to the line. It's about the easiest beat to keep up in English, so you should be able to manage it.
