Is there a way I can join the Army, go to college, get my bachelor's degree, and then serve, that's not ROTC?
I am expecting to attend Benedictine University in the fall, and play football for them. However, I also want to join the Army. Is there a way to join the Army, get my bachelor's degree and then serve, that isn't ROTC? I want to join the Army anyways, and them paying for college doesn't hurt either!
Any idea what that program is called? Because I've seen a few, but one is for only up to 2 years of college, and another is where you do your time and THEN go to college.

Yeah that's not ROTC. By all means, you can enlist in the Army, they'll pay for you to go to college and make sure you get your degree. The difference between that option and ROTC is ROTC is a scholarship that you have to go through a process applying for...fitness test, interview, good SAT scores etc. But the advantage is you have until your sophomore year to decide if you still want to join the Army.
but to answer your question, yes you can do all of that at the same time and no it's not ROTC...but in your case I would apply for ROTC and if you dont get it, i would enlist and let them pay for my college education
good luck

National Guard and Army Reserve SMP program. Its only for those who have two years until graduation though. THe only way to get a 3 year or 4 year scholarship is ROTC. All the other programs are for acedemic juniors.

National Guard or Reserve.
I joined the National Guard in High School went to training durring the summer and finished college on time with my peers and then went active duty after college (but I did do ROTC but I could have done the same thing if I didn't)
