How do I pick a good college?

Okay, so I'm having some troubles. I'm in high school, and while I've still got two years or so to think about college, our school counselor is pushing us all to start looking. The thing is, I don't know where to start. I've gotten good grades my whole life (my current GPA is a 4.2) but I have no idea where to go. I'd like to stay in the midwest area, but really anywhere in the US is fine. I love creative writing, so any schools with good writing programs would be great. Ahhh any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I agree with Haley... your counselor is an idiot. You should be thinking of college, but not stressing over it. From personal experience tho, all that matters is the degree- the college itself is not so important (unless you're going to Harvard or Yale or any other Ivy league school).

Pick the college that most people know about. Even if you go to a private college (like I stupidly did) with a high price tag and difficult courses- who cares if no one has ever heard of it?

And whatever you do, have fun! Because after you graduate, you'll have the rest of your life to be serious and studious. Life is a learning experience. And people with C's but who know the right people will get a better job than those of us with A's and no connections... so get good grades, but live it up (if you can manage both).

    Good luck!

I could say decide on some thing effortless to promote. might be a tuition with well lecturers: Harvard well sporting activities software and well lecturers: USC A neighborhood university simply google the university you are considering pass to their internet site and they are trying very tough to "convince" you to visit that university
