Dell Laptop constantly processing? (very slow)?

My Dell Studio 15 (Core Duo) seems to spend every second of the day processing. It originally came with Windows Vista, which I have since upgraded to Window 7, but that made only a small amount of differance. I have switched of the Firewall and removed most icons from my desktop, and still it seems to be busy doing or reading goodness knows what?

Any suggestions for software changes I can make (eg maybe any default settings I can change) to stop the drag?

Did you check first that your laptop was capable of running

Windows 7 in the first place by using this program?

Looks very much like to me that your CPU is far too slow and you do

not have sufficient RAM to run Windows 7 to begin with.

That's why it is taking so long to process every instruction!

How are you able to tell that it is processing?

If you are going by how fast and often the cooling fan is running, this is not an accurate way to determine how much processing it is doing. The fan could be running faster because it's clogged with dust and trying to compensate for it (this is common).

If, on the other hand, you are seeing slow programs, lots of "busy" cursors or you are looking at the CPU usage display in the Task Manager, it's probably a software problem.

If it's a software problem, the first steps are:

Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the Windows Task Manager. (You might have to choose it from a set of options.)

    Go to the Processes tab.

Click on the "CPU" column heading to sort the list of processes according to how much CPU they are using.

See which process is using the most CPU.

Depending on which process is using all the CPU, the action to take is different. It might be a virus, in which case you need to take virus removal action. Or, it might be a perfectly legitimate program, in which case you might need to change some settings or uninstall something.

You can look up the names of processes on the internet to find out what they do. Beware that some viruses take on the same names as system processes, so if you find out whether or not the process is a virus, you might get false-positives and false-negatives where people didn't realise this. Computers are like your brain. They never stop processing until they die. There are always going to be things going on in the background. If there weren't, your computer would seriously cease to function just as much as you would cease if your brain stopped working at all. There can be a multitude of reasons why your computer is running slow, but it's not because of background processes like firewall or having icons on your desktop.

If you intend to teach your little kid to learn popular words which will likely come across and that are conditions to standard phonetic principles then what you need will be here https://tr.im/cvR33 , Children Learning Reading program.

Children Learning Reading is a phonetic centered examining system. Which means it first shows your son or daughter the words of the alphabet and the sounds they make. It then applies this knowledge to simply help your youngster find out phrases on the basis of the sounds the words make. The program is made to train the fundamental "code" for examining initially. Just after it's been learned are conditions, complications, and modifications introduced.

The only thing I would suggest would be going back to vista coz your laptop may not be fast enough to support windows 7, that is why it allways seem busy
