Teens: would you ever date someone shorter than yourself?

I'm quite small myself, so if a person was shorter than me I think I would find that awkward. I'm typically attracted to guys that are really tall. If I were more of an average height (between 5'4 and 5'7) I think I would date somebody that was shorter, but considering my height now, I would try to avoid the situation if possible. However, a person's height shouldn't really determine your feelings for them, I suppose It's just a personal preference more than anything. That being said, if I really liked the person, their height wouldn't matter. I do agree with you - I would like the guy to be my height at the very least, but I prefer them much taller. (:

YES! I hate how people think "the guy has to be taller than the girl". It is SO stupid! The guy can't control his height, and what happened to personality? I thought that mattered to a lot of people. I know some people agree with me, but that definitely isn't the majority...I'm not a super tall girl or anything, but I've liked tons of guys that aren't taller than me :) Who cares about height?

Well, it's kind of hard for anyone to be shorter than me, especially guys. I'm only 5 foot, so anyone who is shorter than me can basically qualify as a midget. I probably wouldn't mind, though. If I like someone, then I'll date them, even if they're 10 inches shorter than me or 3 feet taller than me. I'm actually kind of scared of tall people, though, to be honest lmao. I don't know. I don't think height would affect anything very much.

I'm 156cm (around 5, 1) and female and it's rare for me to find a dude my age who's shorter than me. And I'll rather have someone who is no more than a head taller, otherwise I feel like a little girl.

Well, maybe an inch shorter but no more than that. I have had crushes on shorter guys, though, so I wouldn't count it out completely. I generally like guys that are a couple of inches taller than me max (5'6 - 5'9), but it depends.

Well I wanna say I don't care about height 'cause I don't like being shallow but I guess I can't help it. I'm not THAT bothered about height but I'd prefer the guy to be like, at least my height. I'd feel a bit weird if he was shorter 'cause it would look kind of out of place haha

i'm only like 5"4ish, but the guy i sort of like atm is like the same height as me,not smaller but almost the exact same height. which i find a little odd because ive only ever dated/liked guys wayy taller than me before (not a conscious choice). so yeh i suppose i would date someone shorter than me, as long as it wasnt by loads, because that would just be weird....how many guys are there under 5"4???

I don't think I would because I just always thought the guy should be atleast 2-3 inches taller than the girl just my opinon.

I guess I would since the guy I like is shorter than me, I guess it'd be a bit embarrassing but yee, i still would. It's not all about looks.

I am about "5-7" and i wouldnt date someone more than 3inches shorter than me.I dont want to be in a relationship with someone who looks like my younger brother or a younger friend, if he has a great personality still if he's shorter than me, i dont think its gona work out cause i wont find him attractive. I love tall guys, and i find them very attractive. I think thats why i dont date short guys, its just a preference.
