It depends on how the flight is set up. They will tell you when you check in at BWI. However, have themcheck-in at BWI check it thru to Manchester.
It could be that you will go thru customs at Heathrow - if you do, you have to get your luggage back and they will possibly will inspect it. After customs, you then just put your bag back onto a carousel and it will be moved to your Manchester flight. No need to check it or check in at the gate. You will be set to go! Note: BWI also should give you boarding passes for Heathrow to Manchester flight.
Note: flown from US to Manchester thru London many times.
just make sure that they check it it to Manchester.

it must be counted upon once you're on the same service the full way. as an party, in case you connect with Southwest they don't have luggage agreements with all of us so that you need to desire to %. up your bag and then recheck it with them. A rule of thumb is once you're travelling regionally and your bag is checked on your vacation spot, you do not opt for to %. up your bag or pay back.
