Looking for a 90's alternative song with a female singer.?
This is really difficult because I have absolutely no lyrics, nor possible names/titles of the band or song. All I know is the video shows a young woman possibly wearing a black dress walking through an industrial area somewhere and the film might have a scratchy look to it. The beginning of the video always reminded me of the beginning of the video Sunny Came Home by Shawn Colvin so I know it had to be popular around that time so 1997ish. I don't think the band/singer had any other songs out and the main hook of this particular song had this, like, sad slowish beat/tone to it that the female singer sang "do do do (do) DO, do..." and then repeated that one octave lower...Please help me!!! It's been driving me NUTS. I've literally spent several hours scouring the internet and youtube for this song, stringing together every possible search query I could think of, watching countless videos for female alternative singers from the 90's (I discovered a lot of "new" awesome music this way, btw) and I've found nothing. This is the one thing I can't find on the internet. It's ridiculous. So any possible ideas this could be is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

These are total guesses, hope one of them is right...
My first guess is "I Don't Want to Wait" by Paula Cole:

Or maybe it's Paula Cole's other single "Where Have All the Cowboy's Gone":

"Stupid Girl" by Garbage also comes to mind because of the scratchy look the video has:

This sounds exactly like a song I was looking for. My brother in law finally figure it out for me. The song I was looking for was "Queer" by Garbage.
