Are jeans appropriate for a job interview?
I have a job interview at a supermarket tomorrow and I was planning on wearing dark-wash clean, fresh skinny jeans, a ruffly nude colored blouse (http://www.bluefly.com/Romeo-&-Juliet-Couture-nude... and some red flats. Would this be appropriate, or is it to casual? Too dressy? I'm sixteen, by the way, so I don't own any suits or business-y stuff, by the way...? Would I get turned away for not being in business attire?

Far too casual. Wear a skirt, or at least pants with a crease. Wear a shirt with a collar. Wear real shoes (no flipflops, no sneakers) and hose or socks. Make sure nothing is wrinkled. Comb your hair. Keep makeup and jewelry to a minimum.
And good luck!

I artwork interior the clothing retail marketplace.. and in administration. From the hiring that I even have executed, donning denims is by no ability proper. i think that if somebody needs the interest undesirable adequate, they are going to dress expert and instruct that they are severe with reference to the area. denims, turn - flops, t-shirts, not proper. that is not mandatory to placed on the type label of the place you're interviewing at, even regardless of the undeniable fact that it somewhat is extra then ok, as quickly as dressed for the interview, to characteristic upload-ons or some relaxing heels or something, so as that way you're giving your expert type your very own twist, yet nevertheless come off severe for the interest. If the interest itself helps denims to be worn as quickly as employed great!.. yet getting employed first is the substantial.

Chances are it wont be the deciding factor of you not getting hired but why leave something like that to chance? If you have no dress pants or dressy skirts or any friends willing to loan you some/way of getting them, consider wearing a NICE pair of khaki pants if you have those.

Jeans can be chic depending on what you pair it with. If you don't have heels and blazer then what you have sounds fine. you not going in t-shirt and sneakers so you're OK.

o I'd go w/ slacks. If your interviewing at Hollister, then yeah, jeans are appropriate.
