In you spiritual understanding, what is this place called the world?

The world is a secret, that each student must uncover for them-self.

One must dissect all of the worlds components and observe their interactions.

The world for one human may be a sand box.

The world for another human may be a theater.

The world for another human may be a bank.

The world for another may be a pub or tavern.

The world for another human may be a business.

Some may find the world to be a life long school.

Some may even decide to graduate from such a school.

Some may decide to even enter postgraduate school.

Although this is considered extremely rare.

Where one fits into the world depends upon ones level of consciousness.

Man has been granted free will.

The world can be what one wants it to be, is it not so?

This clear connection of ko′smos with the world of mankind also aids one in understanding what is meant by “the founding of the world,” as referred to in a number of texts. These texts speak of certain things as taking place ‘from the founding of the world.’ These include the ‘shedding of the blood of the prophets’ from the time of Abel onward, a ‘kingdom prepared,’ and ‘names being written on the scroll of life.’ (Lu 11:50, 51; Mt 25:34; Re 13:8; 17:8; compare Mt 13:35; Heb 9:26.) Such things relate to human life and activity, and hence “the founding of the world” must relate to the beginning of mankind, not of the inanimate creation or the animal creation. Hebrews 4:3 shows that God’s creative works were, not started, but “finished from the founding of the world.” Since Eve was evidently the last of Jehovah’s earthly creative works, the world’s founding could not precede her.

In other words it is the things happening on the earth all the time. Satan is called the ruler of the world and he will not last as ruler much longer because God's Kingdom is going to do away with the demons and the wicked.

I may call it heaven. I may call it god creation. I may call it whatever but words came after the universe.

I may think on it as a philosopher , I may think on it as a scientist, I may think on it as an atheist but this universe is already celebrating that it doesn’t need to think more. I think because I am limited, I am not enjoying.

I may have purpose, I may have desires, I may have lusts but this universe has a purpose to recombine us in that breeze of peace which is flowing purposelessly and expanding like a “Brahman”. So it has a purpose to make us purposeless.

When I read the question, my first response was nothing. I knew that I know nothing and I was satisfied that I know nothing. I was satisfied that now I am a perfectly unlearned human being. I am satisfied that I am impersonal being now. So I have no personal concepts of how the world works.

I can recognize the meaning behind the words “pieces of the puzzle”. Pieces? Why we see the world in pieces.

According to my reach, mind is made to separate the things. It separates everything. It can even give the separate identity to your hands and what will it try to do? It will make them to fight. It will try to win. But how is it possible to win? If your right hand wins then your left hand will lose and if your left hand wins then your right hand will lose. But one thing is certain you will waste your energy and time.

That is why we see the world in pieces. Clue is to become no mind, to put all the pieces together.

Then what will you see that will not be another world. You will see the same world.

You will see the same river, same trees, same rocks, same people but this time there is an extraordinary vision. This time you will see the aura which is illuminating.

Eckhart says, what life wants is more important than what I want from the life

Once I used to deliver the newspaper in early morning. It was like roaming in an empty city. It gave me pleasant feelings because that moment I felt I was closer to the nature, more closely to the existence.

I saw the same landscape but with different vision.

But when I go to college from the same street then I am always be in hurry. I don’t enjoy that walk because I am not interested in the nature; I am interested in the goals, ambitions.

Recently I realize that the path is more important than the destination. The way is our purpose.

If the world has any goal then it is the path in itself.

I have a beautiful word for this path…… “NOW”

I believe the world is a place made by god to test his creation, the humans.

I personally do not have a concept of how the world works because bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people. Sometimes, its unfair to be on earth but at the same time it is a blessing to live a life.

There can never be a completed puzzle until we reach heaven and know the anwsers to our questions.

I believe that our world was made imperfect like us. I think we are here to be tested for later life. I think that if we make bad descions, it will affect the after life and vice versa. The world is a training feild, and we are it's students.

Sometimes I see the world as loving, compassionate and a true joy to be a part of. However, sometimes I see the world as backwards and upside down...so many improvements in all the betterment of life would be easy if only we stopped viewing ourselves as separate....there are easy solutions that those currently in power do not want to implement because of greed/fear/scarcity consciousness.

I think I am seeing the world the way I do because I am viewing it from the eyes of a fragmented self or personality or ego self at times. I know in my heart heaven is all around me...it is still the same world, but looked at from a different perspective, an illusory perception.

I don't see a completed picture, but there have been times when the pieces of the puzzle came together and life changing miracles happened :)

Our purpose is to align our will with God's/unconditional love and be a beacon of light and love to all. We are here to be joyful and shine our beauty and love and realize we are one and the same underneath our masks.

My spiritual understanding and view of the world is probably so greatly different from my current, personal understanding of the world that I can't yet align one with the other, but I am working on merging the two...perhaps that is what ascension is.

Its glad to know that I m not the only one thinking like that ..

My spiritual understanding would be .. we are toys.. just how we rule the toys, he is also doing the same job. He is the soul, the body, the love, the nature, the truth, the only feeling, the only ultimate goal, and he is everywhere, in every being, every beauty, in every thing. You just have to take your perspective to a higher level and understand life. ^^

No I m getting distracted with the material nature so the pieces needs time to get together.. I hope I dont get too late.. and be one of those people right now who has forgotten everything.

Our purpose is to understand him, and know the truth that everything in this world will end one day, dont expect, love, wish, hate from/to anyone.

The world is a temporary place for every living creature.. since no one can live forever.

No one knows exactly why we are here in this world and for what purpose

though I can only honestly answer from a Christian perspective;

to love God - that includes keeping His commandments.

Ecclesiastes 8:16 When I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done on the earth (for also there is that neither day nor night sees sleep with his eyes), 8:17 then I saw all the work of God, that man can’t find out the work that is done under the sun, because however much a man labors to seek it out, yet he won’t find it. Yes even though a wise man thinks he can comprehend it, he won’t be able to find it.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 This is the end of the matter. All has been heard. Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it is good, or whether it is evil.

'What is your spiritual understanding of the world?' Reciprocal dependence of humans and it, and it and humanity.

'Do you personally have a concept of how the world works?' For the perpetuation for life.

'Have you put all the pieces of the puzzle together & see a completed picture?' No.

'And, last but not least, within your understanding what is the purpose of our being in the world?'

Spiritually I think this world is a test for us all. Each time we follow a path that is not right and goes against the basic morals, we tend to get punished even if initially we do not really acknowledge it happening.

At other times we are given tests even if we are obeying the rules. These times give us a better understanding of whom we really are. - Often without experiencing we can make a certain judgement then when it comes to it we realise where are barriers in strength lay. I know in myself there's been times where I had to make a decision that fundamentally went against my initial judgement but knew it was right. This is normal and makes us all human but sad in the fact often the grey lines can make us become hypercritical.

There's also a thought that all the challenges in life you get given your soul has some had an element in choosing its path by it choosing the body it attaches to. Also be careful in what you wish for as in my experience it can come true many years later when the time is wrong for you. I guess I live in this thought as its the only way I believe is fair for a person to go through the bad times even when they don't deserve it. I just feel that I struggle in believing in a lot of the concepts behind modern religions and this makes more sense. I don't believe God has the right to punish anyone and it has to come from within the person. It is also a privilege for a person to spiritually be seen as to have the strength of a human and not an animal. Often people loose this strength do bad things, but you cant blame them if the were not initially given and understood those initial guidelines. Our environment and biology give us further challenges to this world in conclusion, I think we all have our own challenges to overcome, understand who we are further and live in harmony with our surroundings. The end goal is to become enlightened by knowledge and wisdom.

1. What is your spiritual understanding of the world?

The World is nothing more than an artificial construction each of us uses to explain our experiences. We have many impressions that impinge on our awareness, including many that originate in the subconscious , and we have to have some way to interpret them. Each of us has his/her own opinion but some things are clear. The mind experiences and tries to explain. The body/physical universe/people on a green rock floating around one spark of nuclear fire explanation for all these experiences is the current one most accept. Unfortunately, it is not that hard to poke holes in it, and many have done so, including scientists of Nobel stature.

2. Do you personally have a concept of how the world works?

Well, I do have a concept but it involves a single mind, functioning as a rather complex unit, and it is so far beyond my ability to explain that I feel a little overwhelmed.

3. And, last but not least, within your understanding what is the purpose of our being in the world?

As I understand it, our purpose is to realize that we are not in the world at all, and that we must fall back to first base and let the only ONE who has a clue explain everything to us!

Spiritually speaking the world is our society, not the planet. That is why some people can be "worldly" while others are not. If the teachers were speaking of the whole planet then everybody would be worldly. Whereas those who are more materialistic are truly worldly.

Why are we here in this world?

Because it's better than being eaten by predators in the wild. This is just a huge tribe. And capitalism/consumerism is a lot easier than the old barter system.
