Variables involved can vary when oil changes are done:
1) Dirty, hard stop and go environment, short runs and or more extreme environment (heat or cold), type of oil and oil filter are all indicators for when oil should be changed.
Just about any synthetic is going to last you longer as long as you couple it with a good filter. In this case you have brought both together well. If all is moderate I could run a newer car 10 to 15K without concern. As there are still questions unanswered here, such as vehicle, year, environment, history etc, your best answer is going to come from calling Mobil and speaking to one of their Lubrication Engineers.

Mileage means nothing!
It is how YOU drive?
Some need to change oil at 1000 some can go 5000.
Lots of short trips on cold weather? 1000
Long trips in cold weather? 2/4000
Short trips in warm weather? 2/4000
Long trips in warm weather? 5/7000.

The type of oil doesn't really matter as does the car itself. Refer to the owner's manual on when you should get the oil changed.
