Who is backing the rebels in Libya? If it is one or more of the following, can the rebel's armaments indicate?

a possible link: ASIO (Australia), CSIS (Canada), MSS (China), DGSE (France), BND (Germany), DMI (India), MOIS (Iran), MOSSAD (Israel), SVA (Russia), SIS (UK), CIA (U.S.A.), or other?

Other than the AK=-47s, I can't buy in USA any of the cool arms the rebels have. Wait; I thought USA was the Freest Nation on earth? Apparently Libya enjoys more Freedom than USA, judging by the kinds of arms they have access too.

Clearly there is big money buying this stuff and poor, oppressed Libyans couldn't afford that stuff on their own. Nobody seems to know what their long-term goals are, who is arming them or much of anything. And I have access to the best minds on XM Satellite talk radio. Nobody knows. Which is kind of amazing since the big talk radio hosts have staff and informants throwing documents over the transom. And still nobody knows. Which makes no sense at all.

Our Secretary of Defense has indicated that we are doing this on the fly, revealing that we had no contingency plans. Which is very disappointing. During the Cold War, our military and Intelligence people had contingency plans (and checklists) for EVERYTHING. Apparently that is no longer the case.

    Bummer.

The rebels in Libya are probably arming themselves from numerous revenue sources. The brands of their armaments just indicates the affordable brands for the rebels in any nation.

From what I've seen, all of their weapons are Soviet manufactured - AK-47s and and T-62 tanks, that were probably brought along by defecting Libyan Forces.

    By armaments? Probably not.

Equipment wise, the best way to gauge outside support to an insurgency is by its communications.

The Muslim Brotherhood. They plan to take over and enact Sharia Law.

The U.N. resolution was signed by 10 countries. You can find them easily by googling "who signed the no-fly zone resolution in Libya".

I'm trying to give out 10 points on that one. Thanks.
