Ibn Sa'd page 249:

Verily a Jewish woman presented poisoned (meat of) a she goat to the apostle of Allah. He took a piece form it, put it into his mouth, chewed it and threw it away. Then he said to the Companions: "Halt! Verily, its leg tells me that it is poisoned." Then he sent for the Jewish woman and asked her; "What induced you to do what you have done?" She replied, "I wanted to know if you are true; in that case Allah will surely inform you, and if you are a liar I shall relieve the people of you."

***PROPHET HOOD FAILED***: The question here is weather allah told muhammad that the goat is poisoned or not? CLEARLY NOT, as he had to put it in his mouth. Quran says "if you are true; in that case Allah will surely inform you" {muhammad would not eat the goat and he would not die} but because allah NEVER informed him, and muhammad was a liar he ate it and he died, just as the verse says "if you are a liar I shall relieve the people of you."

Thus, if the prophet itself is proven false then the quran is also false.

There are things you need to know about the Quran. It was written by a Roman Catholic man. Second is that the average person of old times had about a fourth grade education and most of the common people were illiterate. Hence what most of the works are is stories that were told to the populace concerning things, some of which even the wisest couldn't comprehend and stories handed down for centuries, if not millennium. For example, few people imagined that the earth was round let alone believe a theory that the earth was created by a big bang billions of light years away. So if you want to know if any of these so-called holy books are completely accurate, the answer is no, but the Bible is the only truth from God. So what is specifically written may not be accurate but the lessons that each one teaches should be.

I can give a guess about the different interpretations. The Bible that we recognize mostly was formatted, for lack of a better word, by Constantine around the 4th century. I do not believe there was such a central "formatting" of the Qur'an. Being that the Muslim world spans several countries and such, it is not inconceivable that they may have translated it differently.

Although Prophet Mohammad cannot read or write, he did not just say that the sun or the earth is moving...He also described quantum knowledge such as the atom and what's smaller (read "Sabaa" in Quran) which is a knowledge that is being discovered these days. Prophet Mohammad also said that oceans do not merge (read "Al-Rahman"), which is also something that was found recently. Prophet Mohammad talked about gravity between stars and planets (read "Al-Raad"). Prophet Mohammad talked about recent discoveries in Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Astronomy, Medicine, and other knowledge areas. It is impossible for someone who cannot read or write to guess these things. That just does not make sense! Hence, he is definitely the passenger of Allah, Peace be Upon Him!

The fact is that science had not been such advanced in past that can probe/explore the solar system, galaxies, stars etc. So it was guess from Prophet Mohammad. Another truth is that the Quran was man made and not derived from God Allah. Prophet Mohammad lied and fooled all the people in those times and this lie still continues in 21st century.

Quran contains imaginary stories just to flatter you. It also contains obsolete rules/laws which is against logic, science, ethics, humanity, equality, freedom/liberty and so on .....

Your first verse could just as easily be claimed to be saying that the Sun goes around the Earth, and as for the Sun having a "stopping point", are you claiming that the Sun is going to stop moving or do you have some other explanation?

Elsewhere in the Quran Quran 15:19), mountains are claimed to be firm, fixed or immovable (depending on the translation), so is the Quran contradicting itself?

So after committing plunder, loot, rape and murder in this life, the followers of Islam get "rewarded" by untouched virginal youths who are fresh like pearls.

Famous poets in Arabia glorified homosexuality. As an example I am including a poem in 'Perfumed Garden' by Abu Nuwas:
