Is it Time to take a stand against profiling of Motorcyclist?

I was highly upset when I saw this

http://publicintelligence.net/ules-atf-outlaw-moto...

Please read the report at http://www.google.com/url?q=http://publicintellige...

I maybe over reacting, I think this is profiling and it is wrong. I have gone to events hosted by some of the clubs and I don’t want to be profiled just because I put on a Support your local MC t-shirt. Do not believe that these clubs are crime organizations. I do think that there are there members that are criminals that hide behind a club patch for protection. The same thing happen in law enforcement there are bad cops that hide behind a badge for protection from the law. So what your take on this and what can be done? Is it Time to take a stand against profiling of Motorcyclist?

Update:

What do I care! I don’t want my photo taken and put on a list just because I go to an event, wedding, or a funeral and because there was a Motorcycle Club there. I work as a part time as a DJ and I work these events a lot. I would not want, me having a motorcycle and riding to impact my military service. I am already looked down at because I am an active rider and get involved with motorcycle events that help the community. So now the ATF wants to put me on a list. That’s why I care.

Update 2:

do a Google keyword search : ATF (U) OMGs and the Military 2010 Update The first link that pops up is the full ATF report profiling Active duty and retired military I think everyone should take a look at this some of the military members in this report have borken no laws they where just a MC events.

You should be upset about this. I ride for an M/C and I hate it when I get pulled over just because of the patch on my back (or whatever reason they choose to use). I do know my rights and I will use everything in my power to protect those rights. Join your local confederation of clubs and independents, and start participating in their programs that try to keep the government from enacting discriminatory laws aimed against motorcycle riders. Abate is another national motorcycle rights association that fights for your rights to ride without the police harassing you.

The last time I checked we're pretty free to do what we want in this country. Sure there's the Nanny Goats who want to control everything so everyone is same/same, but that ain't gonna happen in the USA. This ain't Red Chiner! Anytime there's someone wanting to do something, there's always a group that wants to stop them, or limit them, or rat on them.

Live free! Don't worry about small minded people.

However with motorcycles we're facing a choice sooner than later. We need to start policing ourselves or the voters will do it for us. Whenever a vote comes up regarding motorcycles, not just riders vote, ALL kinds of people vote. If we piss the citizens off enough by scaring Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Fudd with loud pipes, sneers, and rude hooligan behaviour- They WILL vote your butt off your bike!

I for one don't want to lose my riding privileges because a few clowns like to terrify citizens. This is a NO WIN situation. So next time you're around non-motoring folks, just be nice, smile and wave, and just be nice. Go on your way without hassling the MAN, and all will be cool.

I experience a bike and have by no potential had this take place to me interior the 20-some years I even have been using. I rigidity a huge truck and a huge Ram Pickup and have by no potential accomplished this and am indignant which you may positioned all truck drivers in that type. Now while you're nevertheless examining, I even have considered some bikers performing "teach offy" in site visitors circumstances that deffinetly might piss off a set of people who could reason a retaliational innovations-set. I recommend you check out your very own using style and notice if it could have reason that. If that happens to you alot, it may be YOUR using behaviors.

If you are in a motorcycle club, you don't need to worry. If you are in an outlaw motorcycle gang, then you probably should worry.

I wouldn't call this profiling. Italians aren't offended by police cracking down on the Mafia. You shouldn't be so oversensitive to the law cracking down on a group of criminals who happen to all ride motorcycles.

If you don't want to be looked at like you are possibly a criminal. Don't wear the colors and hang out with criminals. You don't hang with a 1% club because they are famous for putting on tea parties and volunteering at children's hospitals. You are there for the criminal networking and drug scenergy or in hope that some of the bad-*** aura will rub off on you. Sleep with dogs, wake up with fleas. If you don't like the heat, get out of the kitchen.
