I'm planning to teach abroad, but the company that I'm looking at says that my Airfare would be "subsidized". What does Airfare Subsidized mean?

I am sorry, but if you are not sure what a subsidy is, I am wondering how qualified you really are to teach to other people. A subsidy is a contribution towards the cost of the flight so that you do not have to pay the entire charge yourself....
