Can something exist without a purpose?

A desk doesn't exist, but it holds my computer.

Everything has a purpose, whether alive or dead.

Everything a human mind can conceit will have a purpose. Even if the object you thought of really do not have a purpose, it will be given a purpose once you use it. The purpose to prove the question wrong

i like these questions because i always ask and get in discussions

yet i never get absolute answer

each one has his own believes in this matter plus his / her believes are built from other believes

i give short explation

if i say anything must has a creator so who creat our god !

if i say what is my purpose of this life is equal to say what is purpose of god that let him created us

now we should make paradigm shift

because this question is came from old pattern of thinking we should think in new way

we still dont know the truth because now the ideas are more than ever

ur purpose is based on ur believes and the way u get raised

we are living things = we should care about life and each one will die so people say no our live will continue in here after

alot of thing to say about our purpose in fact , yet we r not sure

no one can give an answer

but we stuck to what is easier to us and normal to other and common

search to what common is better at least

Beyond 'thought' there is no 'reason', no 'rationality', no 'purpose'!

Sans 'thought', such as a Zen state, Reality/'Self!' remains existence! There are simply no thoughts perceived.

Everything exists, even when no 'thoughts' are perceived, at the moment..

if you think you have one, then you must know it. otherwise, how can you say you have one? if you have guess, then everyone just guesses and nobody can be certain about the right answer and that is no better then 'not having'.

life is just whatever you think. a famous saying is 'I think thus I am'. and that's quite true that you just think or guess. and that is the manifestation of ignorance. but ignorance is not the meaning or purpose of life either - it's just a truth about life. and you can find other truths of life too.
