How to turn around the sleep clock?

I think my circadian rhythm is disrupted due to recent insomnia and depression. Now i would be drowsy and tired at 12PM mid day, as opposed to normal people. How can i turn it around?

    Light is a key instrument in the circadian rhythm. Avoid any bright light at or around bedtime, and try not to spend too much time in dark spaces during the day or awake hours. try not to give in by taking a nap, you essentially need to re-teach your body the correct pattern.

    Take melatonin about an hour or two before bedtime. A small amount of caffeine, such as a cup of tea, around the time you start feeling drowsy may also help. Don't overdo it, because caffeine stays in your system a fairly long time and can interfere with sleep.

    If you feel drowsy after eating, try cutting way down on the carbs. Some people (myself included) get very sleepy and tired after eating carbs during the day.

    The simplest way is to eat Breakfast when you wake up. Breakfast is actually a two part word that simply means, Fast for one full day, then go to sleep. When you wake up you are to Break that fasting. Which will in turn reset your internal clock. That is the original meaning of the word. Utilize it and be well!

    Avoid caffeine, and supplement with melatonin as needed.
