It is doomed!
I am Chinese. My grandparents and my parents suffered immensely when Japanese soldiers invaded China beginning in the 1920's. My grandparents, parents and other Chinese rejoiced in 1945, after the United States government dropped the atomic bombs on Japan. It's again payback time for the Japanese, and let them suffer now for the same misery that their soldiers inflicted in the past on the thousands of lives of the people of China, Korea, the Philippines, etc. The passing of time may temper some of the hatred directed towards the Japanese, however, the past will never be forgotten.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not worse.
This triple disaster has hit an area of Japan 600+kms long and in the North, the entire width of Honshu. Now they face the threat of radiation damage.
Japan is incredibly active siesmically, it always has been, the Japanese people are very resilient, they will recover.
