Mayo or salad dressing for noodles?
I'm going to make a salad with curly noodles, ranch dressing, chopped celery, tomatoes, cheese cubes, bell pepper. It's a cold salad. I can't remember if I mixed salad dressing or mayonnaise with the ranch! Does anyone know which would be better?
That's the recipe I was given a long time ago..they had it that you mix equal amounts. It's probably better with JUST ranch, I don't know.

You can use Ranch or salad dressing...but why would you need mayo????
I would use the Salad dressing...leave out the mayo and Ranch...In fact I would omit the cheese cubes and celery...Use tomatoes...cucumber..and the bell pepper...That would be a tasty pasta salad...
Enjoy......................

Oh, Becky, that sounds absolutely yummy!
I personally love mayonnaise and think it goes really well with pasta. (I make a salad which includes pasta, celery, onion, and chopped fresh beetroot with mayonnaise. It goes pink and looks unusual and tastes lovely even if you think it may be a bit strange!)
But that's not to say that salad dressing wouldn't be OK too (just don't use salad cream - yuck! Horrible English habit!)
One vote for mayonnaise!

I think you should go with ranch dressing. Mayo is more fattening then ranch dressing and will go better with the noodles.
