OPINION: Was I wrong to do this?
Someone at school is heavily ridiculed. They are talked about constantly, etc. I do admit that I do not consider them a friend because of past experiences and how self-centred this person acts. I talk about this person with my friends, but I never say anything to her face. Anyways, a group of people decided to blast a photo on Facebook with hurtful comments. In return, this person printed off the comments and gave them to the counselor/principal. I knew what had happened, but I received a message on Facebook from the group of people while they were planning this attack. Even though I do not like this person, I knew it was wrong from the start. When word broke out that they went and handed the comments over to the school administration, I told this person that the group of people sent a message on Facebook planning the attack. I also gave them the message so she could read what they said. They printed off the message and handed it over to the school administration as well. So, was I wrong to do this?

You weren't wrong to do this. You were, however, slightly wrong in talking about her behind her back, providing the reinforcement that allowed the friends to carry this out. If you had spoken up earlier, then maybe you could've stopped the bullying from happening.
Don't beat yourself up though. These sorts of things are tough to get right.

What does your conscience tell you? If you knew what they were doing was wrong, why are you being bothered now by questions about the validity of your action? Wrong is wrong, and whether the person subject to the attack was popular or hateful is incidental to the question. That group of people, by their very action put them solidly in the wrong and the have to take responsibility for what they did or were planning to do. All of our actions have consequences, good and bad, and we just have to accept this when we become accountable for it. That group has to accept the consequences of their act, that has nothing to do with you and at the same time, you have to be prepared to accept the consequences of what you did, good and bad. If you believe that you did the right thing then be prepared to stand up for it, doing what is right is not always popular.

So even though you bad mouth this person behind their back, you turned in other people for doing so, directly...
How honorable of you...
