The differences are due to such mutations - mutations that have had hundreds of thousands of years to accumulate in various populations.

To see the variety in genes, one only has to look at dogs. All dog breeds are *the very same species*. Look at how widely they vary in outwardly-visible characteristics! We humans, by comparison, are practically identical - even though our genes carry the *very same* capability of wide variation.

3) The only way I can think that we could account for all the people on the earth today is that Adam and Even had children who then had children with each other and then with each other and so on. But to my knowledge this would account for incest which I believe the bible looks down on

The first prohibition against incest recorded in the Bible was delivered by Moses. So: incest before the time of Moses (and there is a lot of that mentioned in the Bible - Abraham, Isaac, and even Moses' own father) is not condemned in the Bible and is not considered sinful by most Christians. It was only *after* God forbade incest that the Bible "looks down" on that.

The different cultures have nothing to do with Adam and Eve as they came from the sons of Noah. There was no incest law back so it wasn't an issue. At the tower of Babel God scattered them across the earth and gave them different languages. Genesis doesn't have a detailed account, but the 10th chapter of the book of Jasher does!

The bible doesn't tell us but it seem obvious to me God created other people. Remember too the time span then was different; people lived longer so were able to produce children for longer.

We were one race.

How we all became different races? I was told land was one landmass at one point and it was mainly if not only hot. Then the lands began to split. Then the ice age came. On these lands people, the weather pattern began to change due to the ice melting and people adapted to suit.

There is a bit more to it then that but that is the gist.

Though the scriptures don't say there were others, since they are limited to the story of the family of Adam, it doesn't mean there weren't. Gen. 6: 2 talks about the "sons of God" (Adam's children?) marrying the "daughters of men", (non-Adamic people; I would say evolved humans, but no authoritative source).

Im not a christiant, but i want to give you the answer to your question from Islam, since your so keen on knowing how we spread and why incest was allowed at that time.

Allah(God) allowed Adam to marry his daughters to his sons because of the necessity of such action. In every pregnancy, Adam was given a twin, a male and a female, and he used to give the female of one twin, to the male of the other twin, in marriage.

So, i hope you understand that this was only for that time and it needed to be done. After them incest is not allowed.

The bible says that God created many people, A&E just ruined the world for them all.

Also, humans first appeared 200,000 years ago, and had a lot of children, and reproduced at the age of 12.

READ the words of the Bible! It says Adam & Eve were the FIRST people God made, not the only ones. How do you explain that Adam & Eve only hate sons, yet we are here? Or that their younger son Cain created the first city?
