what are some survival techniques for a all-out nuclear war?

What should i do if their were a nuclear war. I live 10miles south of a small town in Kansas but 50 miles north of Topeka. how could i survive an attack on Topeka or even Omaha

Update:

another thing is that i have multiple moving options lined up but this is my main one. i should have been more clear about that. also omaha is a major airbase and i should have said manhattan because of all the Research done there. ok

Get on the list to enter your nearest VaulTec(tm) facility. Otherwise, there really isn't much you can do except stockpile large amounts of food, weapons, ammunition, medical supplies, drinkable water, tools, carpentry supplies, electrical generation equipment, batteries, radios, and cookies.

And after the nuclear war occurs and you happen to survive, spend the rest of your life awake and on alert so that the many, many, starving refugees don't kill you and take your stuff.

Why would their be an attack on Topeka or Omaha.

They have no strategic importance and not many people live there.

    You'd be fine.

    I live outside Houston, TX.

    I'd have problems.

Get a $5,000,000 fallout shelter of course.

Eee-gad's man, you've given them enough information to pin-point your location. You have to move now, you have no choice, they know where you are & they'll be coming for you.
