Who would you invite to dinner..?

If you could invite three people from the boxing world (Past or present), for dinner...

Who would you invite....? What would you ask them.....?

My three would be:

1) Angelo Dundee - I would ask him at what point did he realise Cassius Clay was something special?. How did he harness his flamboyant flair? How did he feel when Ali was fighting beyond his means in the twilight of his career?

2) Larry Holmes - I would ask him how he lives with the bitter sweet conclusion of his ring legacy? How he got over the Spinks decisions?, How he managed to survive in Ali's shadow?, How he dealt with his bitterness towards the judges?, How he thinks history will portray him? Why he fought on passed his prime, in a series of embarrassing fights?

3) Nigel Benn - What drove him on to the brink of suicide? What went through his mind when McClellan knocked him out of the ring in the first round? What scared him so much in the army, that made him never feel fear in the ring? How did his brother's death influence his boxing career so much?.. What drove him to despair after winning the world title?

Obviously this is only three dinner guests out of hundreds I could mention....

Who are your guests guys - And why...???

    1. Harry Greb: There is so much I could ask him. I probably would ask him to demonstrate his fighting style, because so much has been written about him but there is no fight footage.

    2. Muhammad Ali: I don't think I would ask him anything, just sit back and listen to him talk.

    3. Jack Johnson: I would ask him what drove him to succeed when society was against him and how he felt being the first Black heavyweight champion.

    A) Muhammad Ali...there is no greater personality in the history of boxing than Ali. He is not only a great boxer, but a great man who was a symbol of a changing time (civil rights, black power, Vietnam War).

    B) Joe Louis...I would love to know about how it felt to carry the hopes of a race and a nation on your shoulders...how was it walking in the shadow of jack Johnson and basically having to walk a very straight line to be accepted by mainstream America.

    C) Floyd Mayweather Jr....Floyd could school me on many of the nuances of boxing and also would be another entertaining personality.

Sean Bean as Eddard Stark, My aunt and Simon Lane Starter could be some selfmade vegetable soup considerable direction a brilliant roast chicken, with potatoes roasted in butter, garlic and rosemary with a lot of honeyed carrots, turnips and parsnips ^^ Dessert could be Chocolate Fudge Cake with some cream from the south and a few Rhubarb Custard. Oh it could be excellent!

    Good Question!

Micky Ward and Arturo Gatti- My question would be to them both. Why a trilogy of fights was it personal or yall just wanting to give the fans the greatest trilogy of all times. I have to say those fights were brutal and the best fights I have ever seen.

The other i would have over is CusD'Mato and ask him if you would have been able to train Mike Tyson his whole carrier do you think he would have been the best fighter ever.

I am Joshua Mbngo Dmbungo TONGUE-CLICK Jnr. Jnr.

Harry Greb - Ask what he has to say to people who think he's overrated.

Muhammad Ali - He's my hero, we'd probably just chat, nothing too serious unless he went all "black power" on me.

John L Sullivan - Apparently he was one of the first to go over to Johnson's corner and offer him kudos for his victory over Jeffries, in an era when it was normal to put down the black fighter and deride their achievements. I'd want to know how it felt seeing the crown he was the first to take be kept from worthy black contenders and if he could've fought Peter Jackson.

I would invite Arturo 'Thunder' Gatti and ask him how he allowed his wife to drug him or what ever it was that actually she had done that caused his death! Then I would invite one of boxing most charitable figures Vernon Forrest and tell him not to stop that night to get gasoline where he ultimately was murdered by ignorant thugs that envied him and his ride. Then I would invite the great Alexis arguaio and ask him to reconsider decision that he made in running for office that led to his murder! I know that these are questions that are not about boxing but they are ones that I just would want to know!

    1. Manny Pacquaio- I like Manny's favorite food too, Rice and "nilagang Baka". I will ask and suggest to him, Why not just run a executive position rather than as a lawmaker.

    2. Joe Frazier- Grilled spare ribs and talk about what really happened in "Thrilla in Manila".

    3. Kevin Iole_Bun and hotdogs. Ask him, this is for just you and me, who do you like better Manny or Floyd.

I'd like to sit down with Larry Lolmes and ask him at what point in his career did he start developing that incredible left Jab.
