Nose Piercings ! XD ?
Hi, I'm 12 years old, 13 in May and most people say I'm really mature for my age. XD
How can I persuade my Mum to let me have my nose pierced, not a ring, just a small stud. I asked her and she said no, (only because of a chance of infection, she said if that wasn't so high, then she'd most likely let me have it done. My dad has said yes though. I've told Mum i'll pay for it and if I or she doesn't like it, then i'll take it out. Any other ideas ?
Also, How do I look after it (try to make sure it doesn't get infected etc.) ?
Any pro's or con's ?
I've had my ear lobes pierced, how would you compare how much that hurts to a nose piercing ?
What exactly is the chance of it ever actually getting infected ?
Can it get pierced with a clear stud ? I've heard you can't because it raises the chance of infection, is this true ? If it is, What can I get it pierced with so that you can hardly see it ?
Please don't say to wait until i'm older or that it looks stupid or something like that ! XD
Thanks alot for your help ! XD
btw. I've tried on stick on gems to see how it looks and my friends say that it suits me :)
And. If you've seen that I've already asked this question a couple of times, It's because I need as many opinions and advice as possible XD

ok i had mine done and it hurt about 3/5 pain scale but it only lasted about 2-3 seconds and after it was fine. they pierce it with a hollow needle and then insert the jewelry. usually a C shaped backing. it is stainless steel to prevent rusting. its a stud. when its healing all you do is clean it with sea salt soaks (research it if u dont know what that is) twice a day for a month or two. at night you can cover it with a bandaid until its healed to prevent it from being ripped out. as long as you keep it clean, there is little chance of it getting infected and if it does get infected you just keep the jewelry in and keep cleaning it and apply polysporin until the infection is gone. no big deal. a small stud is cute and isnt obnoxious. tell your mom, that it is a simple process and atleast you dont want something crazy like cheek piercings haha

Well for your mom, I think you should explain to her why you want the piercing.
Explain why you like it and why you want it done.
I personally have 11 piercings and have token care of them all. ( including a nose ring)
Well usually when you go to a shop to get it done, they will give you disinfectant for you to clean your nose with, they should also give you SEA SALT, not regular table salt, which you put into a cup and add warm water, then use a q-tip.
Don't touch it at all, and be careful with it in your nose.
Don't take it out, or change it to soon.
Pros: its a nice piercing and is cute. If you have a small stud its barely noticeable. It doesn't get as infected as other piercings can, if you don't take care of it properly.
Cons: some look down on it & if you forget it you cant accidental rip it out.
With a nose piercing, your eyes get really watery, and it will seem like your crying.
They use the needle for your nose, and not the gun so personally to me it seems more relaxing then having the gun shot in your ear. Its fast and easy to get done.
Depending where you live, if you go into a shop you can find clear studs.
and there is no high risk in infection. I've had my nose ring in for 5 years now, and never once got an infection. As long as the stud is clean when you put it in your nose you should be all good.
Getting it pierced with the needle is the only professional way for you to get it done.

First of all, what's the reason behind this decision? Secondly, how long have you been thinking about getting this pierced? Those two things go hand and hand when trying to persuade a parent... as well as yourself.
I got mine done when I was 18, I'm 19 going on 20 in June. For me, I kinda felt more in touch with my Native American genes, and I don't regret it. Since this is a cartilidge piercing, it will be more painful than those innocent lobes.
For maintainance, clean the stud as well as the area with an alcohol pad once daily, or more than once if you're already starting to wear makeup.
Sorry to say this, even though I'm all for individuality, I don't really like to see pre-pubecent or 13 year old girls with facial piercings...

Well i have my nose pierced, so maybe my advise will help?
You should clean it with antibacterial soap or put some salt in a shot glass & stir it up. Then use a q-tip to clean around it. (that's what i did.) :)
Pain: Well, i had my mom there with me when i had it done. I just like held on to her hand really tight, and it seemed not to hurt that much.
Stud: I'm not sure if you can get a clear stud. They put a "screwed" stud in mine. (They put it in there so it wouldn't fall out).
Infection: I never got one. But you should really keep it clean.
Hope that helped :) .

first of all stop using " XD " if you want to get it done just know that is blocks boogers and gets infected easily... but if you do take it out when its not infected it will not leave a scar. it could but it would be a little larger than a pore. if she thinks its trashy tell her its a simple remove.
my advice...dont get it done till you're like 15-16. being 13 you will look like a little sluuu. so yes. it would be better to wait. same deal with a belly button.
just know that to get it done, you will need your mom there because youre under 16

You are too young to have a piercing.
You will regret it.
Young people don't understand life because they are trapped in a bubble of academia.
Get one when you go on a gap year or start working.

people can tell you that you're mature might not mean anything. you could just be respectful. ask yourself whats the point of putting a metal object in your face at 13? there isnt one.
