What is the best soundcard?
I have just both a headphone with an attached microphone thinking that I could use it in recording. Which is my primary goal beside chatting. But when I try to do some recording a window pops up that says my soundcard driver doen't support DirectSound Input. What should I do? Do I have to buy a new soundcard or just a driver? Please help me out on this one guys.

Look up the soundcard and see what it supports.Possibly you need to change a setting on the soundcard in the control panel to make it work with the headset you're using.

Try downloading a newer version of driver for the sound card and make sure you have the latest version of Microsoft direct X, but creative makes very good sound cards have a look at one here http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTool...
But since you want to do recording you will needing a sound card with with high quality like this one to me based on reviews that is an ultimate sound card have a look at it here http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTool...
And the best can actually be determined by you based on your needs, you will buy a suitable sound card.
