Help. I'm scared of being in a relationship.?
Ok, so I'm 16, almost 17, and ive never really had a real relationship. I've never really had a really kiss besides one on the cheek. Im a boy and I'm bi but I'm too scared of being in a relationship with anyone, I dint know why but I'm so comfortable being alone, but when I see how everyone is with there boyfriends and girlfriends, I can't help but want that too. I've really been wanting to date a boy but there's not anyone where I live who's gay or boy.
I'm not fully out with my sexuality, only My family and some kids in school know about me which makes it harder to find a boyfriend.
I met this one guy who I work with who is sort of feminine but I don't want to take the chance of making things akward between us, or take the chance of getting to serious and he not want to have a serious relationship. Plus, ge lives 35 mins away. What should I do.

I understand how this situation can be confusing. Since you said you are comfortable being alone right now, there is no real reason to rush into a relationship. When you know you are ready and meet that special someone, you will then be able to have a relationship if you so desire. Until then, I would recommend that you just wait until you feel the time is right for you to be in a relationship. In regards to the boy at work I would recommend that if you two socialize together when you are not working, that maybe some time you can just talk to him and ask him if he is dating anyone. Based on his response, you can decide if you want to pursue him.

I felt the same way you did - never been in a relationship and trying to figure out my sexuality. And once I did, I didn't want a girlfriend for a while. I was still getting used to being me, and I didn't know any other lesbian or bi girls. I then wanted a relationship but didn't see how I would ever find a girl or how it would be to be with a girl. As of a few weeks ago, I developed a crush on one of my friends (who is a MTF transsexual and bi) and long story short she liked me too, and now we're dating and I couldn't be happier. If you like the guy you met, I would suggest trying to become friends with him - because you never know what could happen! Good luck and I wish you the best finding a boyfriend!

Your scared because, dang, your only 16 almost 17! boys take many years after that to fully mature. i know this sounds old fashioned, but chill out and quit worrying about being in a relationship, its NOT all that at your age. believe me, im 26, and your mindset from now until then will totally change, and for the better. teenagers do dumb ****, just ask any adult you know, male or female. let your first kiss be for real, not a pointless one with someone you wont end up being with for long. save this answer and years later read it and i promise you, you'll believe me then. and a very helpful piece of advice-no one wants to settle down with someone who has been there, done that, in bed with everybody. doesnt it sound a lot better to actually be special?

Hey , talk to the feminine guy . Ask if he's had a girlfriend lately , and then you can find out . I did the same thing with my lady friends . I'm scared of relationships too , but you have to get over it , hon , and you should be who you are . I'm bi as well , and I am not scared to go up and ask . Just get it over with , and if he's not gay or bi , then just apologize :)

I'd love to help you explore your body. Why don't you come on down to the ranch?
