Does Alex Stalock have a future in the Shark's organization? In the NHL?
At the beginning of this year, I didn't think Stalock, Worchester's goaltender, would even get a chance in the NHL. However, it was interesting to see him get called up when Antero Niittymaki got injured during the season. He even proved his abilities when he replaced Antti Niemi in a 5-3 comeback win against Phoenix. He made 9 saves and got the shutout. However, he got injured and hasn't been able to play in the AHL or the NHL. Now, Niemi has gotten a contract extension and Niitymaki still has another year. Will Stalock be able to play with the Sharks in the future? Is this injury to severe? Will he be able to play in the NHL in the future? (This question is directed toward scouts and people that follow injury situations)

At the start of the off-season I thought it was gonna be Greiss but, then Niemi and Niittymaki got signed I knew he was odd man out. While it could have happened it would have screwed DW's reputation if he sent one of the Goalie's he signed off to another team or league.
As for Stalock, I like him, but I think he needs another year or so before he gets consistent time in the NHL. Niemi at the time is playing pretty decent. He's not the best, but as long as he helps the Sharks to the Stanley Cup this season, I don't care how well he's playing right now.
Stalock is probably one of the better prospects the Sharks have. Sexsmith was the other one, but I haven't been following enough to know if he's still with the organization. And then you have Hutton who worked some backup duty while Nitty was banged up, he looked okay. The Sharks are pretty set for Goalies of the future. The Sharks as of now seem poised as one of the best teams to make a run for Lord Stanley's Cup, but I don't know how the Sharks player salary will be affected come the off-season. I know they're right up against the Cap or close to it, so we'll see. As long as we can avoid a blackhawk dispursement of players, I'll be happy. just keep Jumbo, Patty, Pavs and Boyles. Heater's good, but he HAS TO GET GOING in the playoffs.
So to answer you Q, Yeah Stalock does have a future in the NHL, but with the Sharks it's hard to say.

He will be the number 2 goalie behind Niemi two year from now after Niittymaki's contract expires . . . that is unless Wilson Trades Niittymaki in the off season . . .
