Christians: Is there really one person that's meant to be with you?

Question

Many people say they are waiting for "the one". how do they know if they have found that person? I'm a little bit confused, I am with this guy but i don't know if he's the one. When you get with someone you like and decide to spend the rest of your life with them, do you pray for God to bless your relationship with that person or do you Pray for God to send you the person that's meant for you. Sorry if this is confusing i can't seem to word it the way it is in my head. I am praying for God to give me an answer if i'm mean to spend the rest of my life with this guy or not; is that wrong? I would appreciate any stories of how you believe you found the right person and how you prayed for your marriage.

I have heard one person say there is no one for you, and any two Christians can make it work. I totally disagree
I think that there is someone out there for everyone-just sometimes things don't come together, because one of them doesn't wait, or something.

I do not think askig God to help you know is wrong at all! God cares about even ourtiniest problems (and this isn't tiny!). He will
make it clear to you...someone told me once, that when God speaks to you, you will know, the choice will be clear, if it's not, it is probably not God.

Re: praying for God to send someone or askig to bless the relationship: I think it all depends...if you have no one yet, ask for Him to send the man he created for you...
If you have someone you think is THE one ask for God's direction, help and blessing.

Make sure this guy is what the Bible says he needs to be. A Christian, loving, willing to lead your marriage, protect you. And more!
