does anybody kow what they are called?
i have wood counter tops in my kitchen yes i know most people dont but anyway i dont want to take something out of the oven and put it on the counter top cuz i think it might burn it anyway my mom and grandma have these things on the counters they are glass and the sit on your counter and you can put stuff from the oven on them they have little legs on them so they stand up bout a 1/2 inch or so off the counter i cant find them and i dont know the name for them can someone please help me

They are called "Trivets". They come in many shapes and designs. Mine are cast iron and in the shape of a pig and of a apple. I like the Cast Iron because there is no chance the sudden heat change from setting a hot pan on them will break them, and when they get scratched up from the pan bottoms, I just use a spray can of black paint to touch them up.
You can get trivets at almost any house ware store.
