Why did George Bush Make more tax cuts for Middle class instead of giving an equal cut to the wealthiest?

you could do it like a pyramid cut taxes for poor/middle class an raise taxes for the richest

like a pyramid kind of and basically YOU CAN cut ever more taxes from middle if you raise the upper but bush just cut everything down the middle he didn't say okay ill cut a bunch from middle an make it up with the rich

HE gave the rich a ton of tax relief an barely helped the middle class with tax relief when they need much more than the rich

Tax breaks are a very confusing subject, lets briefly go over one shall we?

Gas companies have a very large tax break.

Gasoline has a tax on it per galleon, so every time you go to the pump the government gets a fraction of the money you pay for a galleon of gas.

The government gets enough money from this direct tax on gas, so they don't tax the gas company directly because then the company would be taxed into oblivion and have no money, hence the tax breaks on tax day.

Plus, most things the liberals wish for are directly against the constitution. Obama-care?

Another fun fact: taxes. Conservatives wish for less taxes all around. Less taxes = more jobs. Liberals wish for more taxes on the rich. Now, look at what i said about the gas companies, how much should they really be taxed? Should we just tax them to the point where jobs become meaningless because the company can't support paying the workers? Should the government just pay everyone unemployment from what the government makes from the rich companies that now will be sent into the dust?

Taxes on anyone is bad, if the government taxes a business owner for say 10% of the profit, than the government gets that 10%. Yet that 10% could've been enough to employ some unemployed worker. Now he needs unemployment.... So the government has to tax more to pay for more unemployed.... Its a vicious cycle.

Look at Greece, they essentially had Obama-care.... It destroyed them.

One more thing in my rant, Social Security is a massive scam. You know the Ponzi (I think I'm spelling it correctly) scam? It essentially runs like this: You get money from person A, you use that money to show how successful you are. Person B and C come give you their money. You use their money to pay person A. Person D and F give you money, and you use their money to pay B and C...etc. Social Security is running the country in massive debt, and once again, it goes against the constitution.

What am I trying to say with my rant? You are wrong, the media makes it seem like conservatives are the banes of the U.S, and, its almost like the liberal media posts their faults onto the republicans... etc

Simply: Liberalism loves making strong government programs which increase the spending sky high and blantly go against the constitution... Conservatives try to fix the mess that they left, and don't get elected because people don't want their perks taken away, so Conservatives just manage the mess while liberals continue to add to the pile.

Note: There have been horrible republican presidents, they are not exempt from blame

Source(s): Note: I cut and pasted this from an old question about... I don't remember :P

I think that G. Bush was trying to please most the people and not just a few in not making across the board tax cuts. His tax cuts did stimulate the economy, but they had no where no the effect the Reagan tax cuts had. Too bad that G. Bush wanted a bigger tent, because it did him no good as his poll numbers plummeted from 90 to 30 percent or so.

regardless of if a wealthy individual is going out and blows money, the flaws they blow it on help human beings save jobs. because of the fact those human beings make the products they purchase. in the event that they provide up buying then those human beings lose jobs. yet a super form of liberals do no longer think of that deep. they only see wealthy human beings and see evil. And trickle-down does artwork, yet no longer while the federal spending is outrageous like it is been. The trickle-down thought does artwork if carried out appropriate, yet Congressional spending has been insane for the time of the Bush administration.

That was the point. Republicans sometimes throw the rabble some chicken feed to pacify them, but the real meat always goes to the wealthy. They know that a poor person getting an extra $40 a year in tax cuts is irrelevant, but it allows them to say everyone got something as they toss the wealthy a extra $100,000 a year.

you say "rich" CON's say "job creators", so now that the stock market is doing great, large corporations are doing great!..........................where are all those created jobs?

@orange smith...........I have one major issue with your argument, in your opening paragraph, you truthfully state that we the consumer pay the tax for the oil company, at the pump!......why should they not pay at the income level then?
