What personal philosophical epiphany has had the greatest impact on your view of reality and truth?

From advancement ie. technology, comes a prideful lie.

(for those who are deceived by it. Many, is the answer.)

What is this lie?

Building extraordinary things, that make ones life easier, more powerful, richer, more available; Does not make the "Man" better or more evolved.

I can build a larger, more efficient, topographically suitable aqua duct for a City in 10% of the time as those built in the tenth century bce.

However, I haven't discovered it, I have only improved upon it.

Regardless of my ability to invent an Auto that is powered by nothing more than Air, I am still unable to claim the invention of the automobile; Although I have improved upon it by a vast degree.

My mind is not *more capable than the original inventor, it has a greater understanding BECAUSE of the original discovery/invention.

The Bible says: "There is Nothing New under the sun". Fire, Mathematics, Physics, the Cost of Living, none of these were invented, they were discovered as realities.

None of them have been improved upon, the vastness of each of their properties continues to add to our understanding, however we have not improved upon them.

Implying the term "Ancient" equals "Insignificant" is the way of a fool.

We are Discoverers and Refiners, We have Never created anything.

BTW, it's the experiences we don't have, and are unable to empethize in others, that we take most for granted; and keep us fom evolving into the "Whole" person.

The Song of Solomon, beautifully erotic, not cheap .Vested in the concept of love, praise and worship.Beauty resides in purity, rarity,uniqueness,spiritual bliss of a kind very few today can possibly understand in the utilitarian society.

All else is "runniing after the wind" and you die..all for nothing!

i believe the folk that say u in basic terms might desire to get laid!
