How often do twitter feeds update?

Question

I have participated in a few Twitter Party contests where you have to be the first one to answer.  I noticed that when I have the page of whoever is hosting the contest along with my home page open, they update at different times.  And also the hash search I did updates at a different time as well.

How often do the Twitter feeds update?  Even though it takes me MAYBE 5 seconds to answer, I don't see my post show up until a bit later and there are many many others ahead of me.  I'm wondering if I am getting the host's post soon enough?

The updates are supposed to be instant but depending on how you're accessing the site it can vary.  One thing you may want to try is Tweetdeck, they have access to allow them instant feeds so you'll get everything pushed to you as soon as it's published.

i consider the identical means . i believe ppl like twitter & fb is b.c everybody else does . so just about they only comply with what others do . i believe it is intent they've no existence lol . however ppl who use twitter and fb are on there for hours at a time it is like do you ever depart you pc ? fb is as a substitute stupid so i am really perplexed as to why ppl spend such a lot time on there and love it such a lot . myspace is how you can pass :) and is the first-rate solution to specific your self identical to you mentioned :) . i don' believe i spoke back your query ....... sorry lol XD . however i consider the identical means as you so simply understand ur no longer on my own . i are not able to wait til peeps get worn out of twitter and fb and are available again to myspace . tom can be comfortable lol :)))
