I ain't none to bright but I been told....?

that if I buy a router and hook'er up I could take my laptop to any room in the house and still be on line. Well, I did, followed directions, hooked modem to router, router to computer, ran the software, I'm still hooked to the WALL!!! Do I need antenna or something? I am clueless. Help.

    Go for the router. It's the best choice.

    You may need to call the service provider for help setting it up, it's easy, but you may have a few issues.

    If you purchased a Wireless router it would have the ability to provide a wireless LAN in additon to a wired one. Your notebook has to have a wireless interface as well (most but not all do) and the wireless has to be configured.

    you done needs what theys call a wireless router! I recon you could connect if ya git dat n git it configurd
