Yes, and not too long ago.

A christian answered a question from an atheist about why they believe in god -- this particular christian wrote (not an exact quote): "I now there's no evidence that god exists. I accept that. But I still believe, out of hope that he does, and for the comfort my belief gives me."

I sent the answerer an e-mail, and thanked him for being so honest. If more christians were that honest, the world would be a much better place.

James Randi's demolition of the argument for a historical Nazareth was worth knowing about. And as soon as I heard Christians were claiming Lucian of Samosata as an early witness to Christ, I tracked down the specific reference.

I've known about Lucian of Samosata for quite a while. Naturally what he really says about Christ isn't at all what Christians claim.

Ironically the exceptionally impressive answer I read long ago was a rude anti-answer.
