Dilated pupils after surgery/anesthesia?

I had surgery yesterday and today, my pupils have been dilated since this morning. It's obnoxious because I can't see things close up (it's been over 24 hours since surgery). Is this normal and what's causing it? I know there is an anesthesiologist around here (Pangolin) so I'm hoping my question will be answered well. I will update with any details if you need them. I know I wasn't given succinylcholine because of family hx MH. And I still have a Transderm Scop on but have been very careful not to touch it.

It sounds like you have a good relationship. If so you need to calm down and talk to him about it ones the drugs are out of him. If this is going on right now and he seems like no emergency is going to occur, I would get out the video camera or camera and start taking some pics. Get him doing dumb things so he can see how he acts. And call the parents of the friends house now to see if they are home and what was going on. People try things, that is how they learn, through dumb mistakes, he is lucky there are not ill consequences, but make sure there is some consequence now and that it will be 100 time worse next time. Also depending on the kid, you may want to make sure he knows that it is ok not to cave into your friends. Do a drug test if you feel you need the proof; do not give him tomorrow off of school. Good Luck.
