Quran burning in Gainesville Florida...?

Quran burning in Gainesville Florida...

"Rev. Terry Jones' small church, Dove Outreach Center, threatened to destroy a copy of the holy book last year. The pastor backed down but the church in Gainesville, Florida, went through with the burning last month."

What's your take on this?

Is this act of burning this Holy Book OK because though we don't agree with it or it's people?

Or does this nonsense need to stop because it achieves nothing but a measly point...?

It seems to be nonsense, and everything negative when non muslims do such a thing. But when Muslims burn non muslim's scriptures every year it is not considered nonsense. They spit, urinate and then burn their scriptures yet no one seems to bring about the issue.

Why must we allow them to be dictators? what makes them our rulers? it's about time we give them a taste of their own medicine.

@ ... ...Why it's not a fanatical hate crime when muslims kill people. why muslims who burn the bible are not in jail? why don't you advocate it? He did not cause anything don't blame him when it's islam that is violent. If islam was of peace his actions would not have affected muslims. Muslims say that they are not terrorists and then we have you who writes such a post that supports the view that you'll are terros. pathetic muslim mullahs.

The 9/11 the bombings in London, Spain, India, Russia etc was done way before this alleged quran burning incident. Muslims are blaming Terry as they want to justify murder.

A book, such as the Bible, may be holy, but *individual copies* of the book aren't. It's perfectly OK to burn a copy of the Bible, as long as ALL the Bibles in the world aren't burned. And it's the same with the quran. Can't you see that?

And, because that ONE QURAN was burned, a mob of Muslims in Afghanistan went insane and MURDERED TWELVE INNOCENT PEOPLE--employees at a United Nations office. <<Islamic insanity.>>

The part that needs to stop is people rioting and killing over random isolated incidents in which a handful of nutjobs do something to disrespect their religion. All holy books have passages about their followers being persecuted so these rioters should just get over it. That is the nonsense that needs to stop.....

Well, I don't believe that the Quran is holy. But burning it did absolutely nothing to draw Muslims to Jesus. As an evangelistic strategy, it was a major fail.

Due to the radical/fanaticism of the some muslim group, it is not to the world's peace advantage to burn the Koran that cost the lives of the UN workers in Afghanistan.

Terry Jones is absolutely right about the Qur'an. However, he's just as WRONG about his methods.

The way to reach Muslims is through love, not confrontation. No one comes to know Jesus because they feel condemned.

I'm all for burning Qurans, and Bibles for that matter. Those books of mythological BS have caused more problems than one can imagine.

  • Do unto other what you want them to do to you.

How would Christians feel if Muslims were to burn the Bible? (Highly unlikely because along with the Quran, they consider the Injeel (New Testament) and Torah and Zubur(Palms) to be book of God!)

This act was provocative to say the least. It achieved nothing but evil :(

Muslims burn christian bibles and churches all the time, bottom line is that he has the right to do as he wishes and if the Muslims don't like it and threaten you over your free Speech, then that is terrorism, never give into it.for that is when they win if you do.
