God has ordained a headship arrangement that humans are supposed to abide by for harmony to exist. It's when people start desiring a position that is not theirs that trouble can begin.

    Jehovah

    Jesus

    Man

    Woman

    Child

(1 Corinthians 11:3) But I want YOU to know that the head of every man is the Christ; in turn the head of a woman is the man; in turn the head of the Christ is God.

This proper theocratic order in the congregation and in the family arrangement does not hinder the woman in serving God, nor does it impede her efforts in carrying out her family activities and responsibilities. It allows her full and Scriptural freedom to serve in her place, while still being pleasing to God in harmony with the principle: “God has set the members in the body, each one of them, just as he pleased.” (1Co 12:18) Many women of ancient times had fine privileges while recognizing the headship of the man and enjoyed happy and satisfying lives. Among these were Sarah, Rebekah, Abigail, and Christian women such as Priscilla and Phoebe.

Many point to a place in the scriptures where Paul wrote to one churches that he had started and told them that their services were out of order. He told them that if a person was unable to speak the language (Greek) that the church used, that person should be silent and not publicly address the church without an interpreter. But he was not saying that a person who could not speak Greek was never to speak or to be a pastor.

He told people who were sitting in the congregation not to interrupt the sermon with their own ideas and revelations. That they were to be silent unless the person conducting the meeting gave them permission to be publicly address the church. But he was not saying that they could never speak or be a pastor.

He told people who were given permission o speak to stop if the person in charge of the meeting told them to stop. There were to be silent and not continue to publicly address the meeting. But he was not saying they could never speak or be a pastor. Just not at that moment.

And then he tell the women in that church to be silent and to ask any questions they have later at an appropriate time. It appears that they were interrupting the services with questions. Again, Paul does not appear to be telling them to never speak publicly in the church or that they can not be pastors. Rather he is telling them not to interrupt the services with questions.

He then goes on to say that EVERYONE (including the women) can teach and preach in the church, they just have to do it in proper order.

In another place, Paul writes to Timothy about what is required for a man to be a leader in the church. He says that the "women" (there is no separate Greek word for women and wives) of these men are "are to be silent, no teachings their men (husbands) and learning in all quietness and submission". Again it does not appear that Paul is saying women can not be pastors, but rather he is saying that if a man is not the leader in his own household, does not have his wives respect, and has to be taught spiritual things by her, then he is probably not a good candidate to be a church leader.

Later in that same letter, Paul gives instructions for women who want to be leaders (deacons) in the church. So apparently Paul thought they can be leaders or why would he have given instructions?

Note that the New Testament list 23 different people as being apostles. Two of them are female.

Nothing in the Bible says that a woman can not be a pastor.

To be submissive to their husbands but women have also done their bit for God and country(Israel). My wife loves God very much and is responsible to God and our home and is very much a lovable leader to the church and second in command to our pastor and a counselor and wise adviser to the church. With her qualities she would make a wonderful pastor but this ministry is solemn and it requires a lot. Only God directs who will be pastor thru' prayer. And if God chooses my wife for this ministry, there you have it because godly women have as much right as men to lead a congregation or a nation. And if not, is God discriminate to women? No. Women in the Bible: Ruth, Huldah the prophetess, Esther the Jewish queen of pagan Persia, Abigail who avoided a massacre by David's forces against Nabal by sending gifts to David and personally pleading David to spare Nabal's life. Anna the prophetess who confirmed Jesus' divinity and role as Saviour, Priest, and King to Mary and Joseph in the Temple.

No. In fact there is some evidence that one of the original apostles (Jania) was a woman.

If you read contemporary accounts on e of the original accusations against the Christians was that they empowered women and slaves. If a slave was inspired they may be teaching their masters.

This was seen as a path to cultural instability.

This is one of the reason Paul told the women to sit down and be silent.

It does say that older women should teach the younger women. I can't recall anything about them not being pastors. The one I do listen to is Joyce Meyers and she isn't really a pastor. She has the blessing and support of her husband who handles the ministry. She teaches at women's conferences.

    In essence, yes.

    1 Timothy 2:12

This isn't to say that women are not regarded with the utmost respect and love Philippians 4:2, 3.

It's called Theocratic Order. Not all follow it.

    regards

She is to be the husband of one wife and not usurp authority over a man. However I have no problem with any person trying to help others find the truth and keep them in the fold, man or women, if done in a way that would not be offensive to any of the Brothers .

Not exactly. There IS a passage in the Christian scriptures that says that women should be silent in church, but no one really thinks that the possibility exists that women are going to ever be silent, anywhere, ever...this edict was passed down by a guy named Paul of Tarsus, who was never married, so consider the source...
