I want this Asus - good buy?
I'm very interested in the computer linked below:

I'm sick of laptops. I'm not a HUGE techy, though, so I wouldn't mind an All-In-One because I don't plan on taking it apart. I also plan on purchasing a warranty.
I don't need a gaming powerhouse, but I don't want a crappy little Dell that undergraduates would use for note taking, either.
Any recommendations or warnings?
Yeah, it is pricey, but comparable Dells or other big name desktops are more expensive and tend to be less reliable. I've only heard good things about Asus so far.

I recommend avoiding All-In-Ones from any manufacturer. They're overpriced compared to standard desktops and if anything goes wrong, it's more of a hassle to get fixed. You can't easily upgrade or replace individual components, the whole unit has to go in for service if anything fails.
For example, this Dell is much better than the Asus All-In-One (although it needs a monitor, which raises the price by about $120). A major point in favor of this Dell is the 350W power supply, which allows you to upgrade other components later.

This Asus (standard desktop) is even better for everyday work, although it lacks a graphics card and has a weak power supply, making it useless for gaming. But since it's a regular desktop, it can easily be upgraded with those things. Put another $100 into that machine and it would be beat the Dell at gaming, too.
