How can I get rid of my dog's pus?
I found my puppy bleeding today, near the abdomen.
I took him to the vet in which he recommended surgery to take out the pus but I can't afford it.
So he gave him 2 shots (not sure what type) and amoxicillin.
He said it was possibly a spider bite, but he wasn't sure. My dog has a small hole..surrounded by purple. and it keeps leaking.
And what can I do or buy to make my dog feel better? :(
If you're not going to help me, don't bother answering.
And the vet assured me he'd get better. I was just asking this question to see if I could speed up his recovery.

Don't panic. Im guessing the vet wanted to lance it, wouldn't exactly call it surgery.
The injections he gave him are probably a corticosteroid ( for the inflammation) and diphenhydramine ( for allergic reaction). He is on amoxicillin, which is a broad spectrum antibiotic, and should help with any possible infection.
To ease his discomfort, you can apply warm compresses (plain black teabags work great and have natural drawing properties. You can apply them every couple of hours. Do not cover it and do not squeeze.
Good Luck...hope he is feeling better soon.

The only thing you can do is what your vet suggests. No one on here is a vet and we can't diagnose from here. If you are unable or unwilling to provide veterinary care then the dog should be re homed to someone who can afford the care and is willing to provide it.
ADD: Zoraz-Chill out. If I couldn't afford veterinary care for my dog I would do everything in my power to find the money. I would pawn my stuff or borrow the money. And I AM responsible enough to know that if my dog needed veterinary care and I could not afford it, then I would make the VERY HARD decision to re home the dog or give it to a shelter. You and the OP are being overly sensitive.

Everyone stop. Shes here for help. The vet said hed be fine, read the complete question! There are creams that help cuts and prevent infections, etc. I suggest you buy those. They are found at any pet store & have instructions on the back. Hope he feels better :)

put some salt in very warm water put a clean rag in the water and soak it up. Wring it out, be sure it is very salty Put it on the wound cover it with a piece of plastic for about 30 minutes. Make sure plastic is covering salty rag very well, if you can wrap it in a ace bandage to hold it it would be better. Remove the rag and see if it has pulled any of the infection out. If it has repeat till you ge tit all out

Ignore those miserable people who probably have never even OWNED a dog but yet tell you YOU shouldn't own one.
THIS PERSON JUST WAS AT THE VET TO CHECK IT OUT, YOU IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gosh!!
Now to answer your question---not much. :L Too bad but you can't. You can cuddle more often and play to make up what you can't do, even if your dog doesn't understand that your 'making it up' to him. I'm sure the pup would enjoy some treats and tricks! Keeps his brain focused and will make him forget the pain for a while. :)
Good luck! Hope he heals quickly.

EDIT: You guys; notice the vet said "RECOMENDED" not "NEEDS"!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you know how many dogs were "recomended" to get surgery and have their legs amputated but their owner couldn't afford it--AND THEY WERE ABLE TO WALK AGAIN!?!?!???
EDIT; So what would YOU do if you couldn't afford it? Huh? Huh?? Answer that! I bet you wouldn't take your beloved dog to a shelter for small wound that was "RECOMENDED" to have surgery!
SO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

You cannot be responsible for this dog - please get him to a rescue that can.
Spider bites get worse before they get better - an the fact that this is near his internal organs is not a good thing. Are you going to sit and watch as it goes into his middle and kills him?
Call a rescue and ask for help - he deserves to have proper care more than you deserve to have a dog.

You are playing with a dangerous thing there. I don't know of anything I'd dare try..what if you make it worse.?

You should give it to someone that can pay for it .. it might be hard for you but its the best thing for the puppy...

If you cannot afford to have a dog, please give him up to a no kill animal shelter so he can get the care he needs.
