What is a normal EMF ?

I have a very cheap EMF meter but it measures 50-100 ut throughout the house. Hard to find out if this is a normal reading. From what I have read this is extreamly high.

In most houses, there should be no EMF's. Maybe it will be around .2-1 or even 2 in some parts such as basements or rooms that are directly under a basement. Electronics tend to give off EMF's as well and some kitchen appliances but, once again, its typically not any higher than 2 maybe 3. Now if you live near power lines, have an open power box or have improperly built main wiring(typical in older houses) than EMF's may be relatively high, sometimes as high as 150, depending on what is giving off the EMF. Now throughout the house is kind of odd. The only things i know about that could cause that high of EMF's is improperly built main wiring, live in very close proximity to power lines (for it to be that high, you would have to live VERY close), or the EMF detector just wasnt working properly.

But in general, yes, that is a very high reading. Not extremely high because ive seen EMF's reach up to 200, but that is high enough to question why its so high.

Are you carrying a cell phone? Turn it off and put it somewhere outside the house. Get any batteries or battery operated equipment (such as laptops) you can find and put them outside the house as well. Then go down to the circuit breaker of your house and turn off the electricity to all the rooms. Wait ten minutes. Then take the readings again.

The readings will be invalid unless you do this.

It's on the high side, but you should check with an electrician. There's no such thing as any form of paranormal activity.
