What book should I read?

Hello!!

So, I have been itching to read books!! ahhgg!! So I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of a book(s) I should read.

I likeFantasyy/Adventure and books I love is:

Rangers Apprentice by John Flanagan (my fave ever!!!)

Inkheart

Warriors by Erin Hunter

Frank Peretti books

The Hobbit (j.r.r. Tolkien)

I know there is more...

Books that I am planning on reading:

Harry Potter

Lord of the Rings

Hunger Games Trilogy

Etc.

So practically, I need some series that you would be sure that I would completely enjoy. I asked a question like this while ago and found Rangers Apprentice through it and now it;s my fave book series.

p.s. I do best with series! Thanks!!!! Oh, and I don't really like romance books

Best answer for whoever gives the most suggestions (something that relates to what i have read).. THANKS!!!!

I also really like the anime show Avatar; the last airbender (if that helps to figure out the kind of stuff I like)

    For fantasy adventure:

The Earthsea books by Ursula K. LeGuin

The Vlad Taltos books by Steven Brust

The Amber books by Roger Zelazny

    For hilarious fantasy adventure:

The Discworld books by Terry Pratchett (if you like Harry Potter, start with the Tiffany Aching stories -- "The Wee Free Men" is the first).

    For science fiction:

The Flandry books, by Poul Anderson (sort of Horatio Hornblower plus James Bond in space)

The Known Space books, by Larry Niven (some series like the Ringworld books, some stand alone)

Almost anything by Cordwainer Smith (not really a series, but all set in the same universe).

That's a start, just from a quick scan of my bookshelves. Happy reading!

Percy Jackson books are the BEST!

Perseus "Percy" Jackson is a fictional and central character in Rick Riordan's Camp Half-Blood book series, appearing as the title character and narrator in the first series, Percy Jackson & the Olympians, and a major supporting character in the second series, The Heroes of Olympus. At the start of the first series, Percy is introduced as a troubled twelve-year-old diagnosed with both ADHD and dyslexia. After getting attacked by a Fury at school, he is escorted to Camp Half-Blood, a secret camp built to train and protect Greek demigods. At camp, Percy learns that his father is Poseidon, the god of the sea, and is thus a child mentioned in the Great Prophecy, a prophecy that was given by the Oracle seventy years ago. Throughout the series, Percy embarks on several quests to save his friends and, ultimately, the gods of Mount Olympus.

Stephen R Donaldson's White Gold Bearer (not the book names) series.

S.M Stirling's series that starts with "Dies the Fire"

as a couple of good ones.

DON'T dive in to the Dune series or Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series as a start. Thes are some really reading-intense authors.
