Who remembers and still likes to listen to The Lovin' Spoonful?
I went on YouTube.com and looked them up because they were one of my favorite bands of the mid to late 60s. I believe they were a really under-rated band. and John Sebastian was a song-writer who deserved a lot more credit than he got...even though they did make it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. What are your thoughts on The Lovin' Spoonful?

I remember them and really liked the handful of their songs which made it to the radio. "Summer in the City" was a great song and a little "edgier" than some of the others. Of course, John Sebastian also wrote and sang the theme song to Welcome Back Kotter, which was a great song for a great show.

Are just a few from the top of my head..You have great taste
And right they always have been under rated!!
John does deserve a lot of credit...Some times it seem to come too late
But better later then never for a great group hey!!!

It's funny you should ask this question because one of their songs, "Summer In The City", is played in the beginning of the movie Die Hard With A Vengeance. After hearing it, my brother downloaded it because we both really like the song.
