well since you like Avatar the Last Airbender you might really like The Hunger Games because it has action BUT...... it is very predictable, too much of an easy read, unchallenging, and the author writes not very good. There are many other things I should rant about but I say I would compare Twilight to The Hunger Games. They both have static characters, predictable plots, and no puzzling literary elements whatsoever (if you knew what I was talking about, you would realize that these elements are what causes a book to be interesting).
But honestly, Harry Potter on the other hand might be not very good writing wise but it's very excellent in plot wise. I have nothing else to tell you because the rest is for you to figure out and experiment with :)
Honestly, The Hunger Games is so elementary.
Where I live, we actually think.

I'd believe xajide in recommending Ken Follett books for ancient fiction - they are excellent! Pillars of the Earth is an strong epic tale and if you happen to like that, he is simply released the sequal, World Without End. My ideas might be: a million. Memoirs of a Geisha via Arthur Golden- romance set in Japan (very romantic & one in every of my all time faves) two. The Time Traveller's Wife via Audrey Niffenegger - approximately a how a pair's dating develops whilst he can not quit leaping via time (once more, so romantic and a truly tearjerker) three. The Historian via Elizabeth Kostova - a thriller/ mystery who uncovers harmful secrets and techniques approximately the Dracula legend in her father's library four. The Forgotten Garden/ The House At Riverton via Kate Morton - epic dramas set in nation manor residences in England, spanning distinct generations, this books have a truly traditional believe to them. five. Chocolate via Joanne Harris - you will have obvious the movie however the ebook is even larger. It's approximately a lady and her daughter who open a chocolate save in a sleepy French the city - which has middle-warming penalties at the citizens. Just be certain you will have a few chocolate helpful whilst studying it - one of the descriptions are so mouth-watering! All the above are 'grownup' fiction, nevertheless it seems like you're really good learn so that you might don't have any difficulty with those books. Happy studying!

If you like dragons, try the Dragon Jousters series by Mercedes Lackey. The first book is called 'Joust.' You could also try Anne McCaffrey's 'Dragon Riders of Pern' series. And if you like fantasy and humour, you should also try Terry Pratchett's 'Discworld' series.

half moon investigations by eoin colfer
Fletcher Moon, known around school as "Half-Moon" due to his size, has qualified as a private eye after taking Internet classes. So far he has only used it to solve petty schoolyard crimes, with payment in candy. But now he's on to something much bigger -- and more dangerous.
There's a conspiracy going on in town, and possibly more than one. They involve a local criminal family, a club of pink-clad girly-girls, a school talent show, arson, theft, and assault. And soon Fletcher finds himself in way over his head, as he is framed for arson and flees custody with a known delinquent, who may be more than he seems.
