Are you leading a spiritial life? What does that mean to you?

The only definition of spirituality my path has lead me to identify with is "that which is greater than the self". And not necessarily MY self, but the self in general, that of every individual. Synergy; function greater than the expected sum of the parts. Movements/events transcendent of egos, perhaps.

Changes in dominant cultural hemispheres. BIG religious events. Big disasters, and even little ones. Meditation. Realization. Consciousness. Presence. That feeling of everything being perfect, because how could anything be anything BUT perfect? All is as intended, so what can be amiss?

The old mantra "nothing is true; everything is permitted' has always troubled me.

Feeling totally connected with someone you've never met, and/or something you'd never do. I do this a lot when I read, especially history.

That's part of it. I can't articulate a lot of how I see it, nor why.

I think the true spiritual life is in being "connected" to everything, the people, the events, the ups and downs of life. It isn't going to be all roses of course because there are necessary lessons to be learned, challenges to be met, and we all are working our way through the labyrinth.

Each person has their particular perspective on life, some are born with a happy disposition, others are serious, so I doubt you will find every person in agreement on how to be spiritual. Yet in the end as long as they aim for the full realization of the Divine Love within their mind and heart, they are not far off from the true purpose we are to fulfil by our experiences.

Living a genuine spiritual life means allowing the Divine Presence to be expressed through you the individual as an outflowing of your Love towards all mankind.

to me, spirituality means believing there is more to life than just yourself... something bigger than you! but NOT god or religion

life force, energy, yin and yang, mother nature... etc. this things ARE spirituality

I am. It means just doing the next best right thing in front of me and doing right things and doing things rightly. It means NOT expecting anything more (or less) then that in which I am willing to put forth.

If we are living in Spirit, then we should walk in Spirit and experience love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperancy; against such there is no law. (Galatians 5:16-26)

Yes, I'm a born again Christian. For me, my life is now more about following God's ways of love and faith, and less about me. Love is selfless, so I'm learning more about love and selflessness. Joy is a reward. Most importantly in life, get God in your life and prayers. God is love and knowing God can transform your life. When you know God, your spiritual Father, then pray about your life, God can help you live a better life. As God is love, life is primarily about love and relationships in order to have a rich and full life. Also, you need to know God's Son, Jesus Christ, in your life as your Lord and Savior as Jesus died on the cross as payment for our sins. Having Him with you will give you God's blessing and forgiveness, as you live God's way. We need to know and follow God in this life so we can go to heaven after we die, and so we can get God's help now. Not following God leads to hell, eternal suffering. Instead, there is an important prayer to pray to become a born again Christian. This prayer should be said with faith in God and a sincere heart:

"Dear God, I know that I am a sinful person and I don't want to be like this anymore. I know that Jesus Christ died on the cross as payment for our sins, and I want to accept Jesus Christ into my life as my Lord and Savior so I can receive God's forgiveness, guidance, and go to heaven someday. Thank you, dear God, for your mercy and guidance; in Jesus' name. Amen."

After saying this prayer, you should check out a Christian church like Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran.

Also, get into their Bible study group so you can learn more about God, Jesus, and God's will for your life. The Bible is God's instruction book about how to live a God-honoring life so you can go to heaven after you die. The church can also get you baptized and prayed for. You can pray for yourself daily too. God guide your life.
