What book should I read?

What book should I read?

Hello!

Okay, so I have a hard questions for you guys!

I have been dieing to read a book that would interest me. I mainly like reading series and I know that there are so much more out there that I would love.

I like the books that fantasyish/adventure mainly like Rangers Apprentice by John Flanagan (my fave. book)

So here is a list of books that I really like and it's the kind of stuff that interest me.

*Rangers Apprentice by John Flanagan (best book series ever!)

*Ink Heart (don't remb. the authors name)

*Warriors by Erin Hunter (like the second best series ever)

*Artemis Fowl

*Frank Peretti books

*The Hobbit (J.R.R Tolkien)

*Nancy Drew (I haven't read them in a while.. lol)

Books that I am planning on reading:

* Fablehaven

*Hunger Games Trilogy

*Harry Potter

*Lord of the rings

*Narnia

*Eragon

*Series of Unfortunate events

(these are things I also like-- like style, story line, AWESOMENESS)

Books that I am not interested in:

Vampire books, will never read that one uhh... Twilight

Romance stories! blahhg!!!

Animophs (it's a book series)

A bunch of boringness.... I need to be stuck like glue

Oh, and I am kinda looking for something with Dragons (like I don't have to though). I mean dragons that are good. At least.

And if it helps, I like the anime show Avatar; The Last Airbender

THANKS!!! Who ever give the most book suggestions gets best answer, or unless I really like a book that you mentioned! I think I gave a pretty good descript of what I want/

You haven't read Harry Potter OR Series of Unfortunate Events? Get away from me! Go on, shoo!

Just kidding. But seriously. GO READ THEM. NOW. Your fantasy mind will thank you for it forever.

Okay. Um. You mentioned liking Avatar. That's an anime. So have you ever read manga?

Here are some decent series that you'll like:

Fullmetal Alchemist - Hiromu Arakawa. DEVASTATINGLY good. I cried after I read a certain chapter.

Soul Eater - Atsushi Okhubo. An amazing action-adventure story.

Fruits Basket - Natsuki Takaya. It gets kinda romance-y though.

    As for normal books...

Try Nick Shadow's books; they're scary as hell, but you'll love them.

Have you read the Darren Shan series? It is awesome. No lie.

Fullmetal Alchemist and the Land of Sand is a novel version of the already mentioned Fullmetal Alchemist manga.

Ten Little Indians by Agatha Christie. My all-time favourite book.

For that matter, ANYTHING by Agatha Christie.

Ooh..!! Yes to Harry Potter, The Hunger Games Trilogy, Eragon and Series Of Unfortunate Events. Lord of the Rings can get pretty lengthy and some of the stuff in it is just pointless. And Narnia is kinda childish(?), the writing style is definitely more suited to younger readers.

    My Recommendations:

Percy Jackson & The Olympians....Lots of magic, madness and greeky-ness!! I really enjoyed reading the series.

The Heroes Of Olympus - Sequel to the previous series, but even better!

The Kane Chronicles - Kinda Percy Jackson-y, but this time its Egyptians!

The Maximum Ride Series....lots of adventure.....and mutants!!

The Mortal Instruments!! Definitely my favourites on this list....nephilim, demons and angels clash in this epic series!!

The Infernal Devices!! Written by the same author as the Mortal Instruments, but it's set in England.

EDIT: Okay I just finished reading the Alex Rider series, and I have to admit its like reading about a 14 year old James Bond (without the girls)!!! The plots are really intricate, and just mind-boggling!!

Ok, I've read and enjoyed most of the books on your list, and I suggest the Alex Rider series for the action and AWESOMENESS, and the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series because 99% of it is just plain GREAT. Look up more info about them and I'm sure you'll enjoy the books, especially Percy Jackson. Also, since Avatar is anime, you might want to try reading some manga. My favorite is Naruto, but I would also suggest One Piece, Bleach, or any Yu-gi-oh manga. (Yu-gi-oh can be hard to understand if you've never played the trading card game.)

  • First read all the ones you have planned to read, they are all awesome! (Apart from Fablehaven because I haven't read it yet but I think it looks good) And Avatar is awesome, have you heard? Nickelodeon are going to make a new series about Aang and Katara's child

The Keys to The Kingdom series, first one is Mister Monday by Garth Nix

Mortal Engines series by Phillip Reeve

Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz is good but for a kids spy book I'd prefer CHERUB by Robert Muchamore

Percy Jackson series as mentioned aboveme and Heroes of Olympus.

I'd also recomend The Edge Chronicles (love it)

G.A. Aiken's Dragon Kin Series is really good ... but it does have some x-rated "romance" in it (I know you said no to romance, which is why I'm mentioning it).
