My iphone stopped working, it wont turn on at all.. help?

I have an iLuv alarm/radio/mp3 player that i have plugged into a power strip. I havent had any problems with it and i normally plug my iphone 4g into it. (I dont have access to another phone at the moment otherwise i would just call customer service!) I was just using my phone to text, and then i took it out of my otter box that i keep it in to put it on the iLuv, and walked away for no more than a minute and went to see if i got a response from the person i was texting to find that both my phone and iLuv were not working.

I turned off the power strip and turned it back on, unplugged both the iLuv and the powerstrip and plugged it back in fully, and insured that i did, and the iLuv started working just fine but my phone did not. I have tried plugging it into another power source, because i remember my batter was low, but it had 20 something % left and it normally can run all the way down to like.. 5% without it turning off completely. I havent let it run lower than that but im sure it will go longer.

Its now been plugged into the regular wall charger for an hour and it still wont turn on at all. I tried to 'reboot it' by holding down both the home key and power key on top at the same time several times to see if that would do anything. Nothing.

I dont have a computer to plug it into since i am away from home and i would not want to have all of my data swiped by connecting it to a different computer than what i did when i first purchased my iphone.

HELP!!! I absolutely need to be able to use my phone on a regular basis for more than personal needs.

Any suggestions are appreciated! Thank you!

If the phone got zapped somehow, it might need to be repaired.

How long did you hold the buttons? Sometimes it takes what feels like forever, but it might really only be 15-30 seconds. Have you tried holding down the home button and then plugging it into the computer? Sometimes that helps. But this forces it into recovery mode so I hope you have a recent backup of your data & purchases.

    G'luck!

nicely for the dude that responded above mine, rice soaks up the water. additionally first i might returned up the telephone if attainable, then restore it. an incredible form of the time stuff may well be resolved via restoring it. If that doesn't paintings then it truly is probable some thing incorrect with the telephone itself or the battery. Take it to an Apple shop or set up a Genius Bar appointment. in the event that they locate out that that's water broken via the water paper issues located in the headphone jack, the charger dock, and interior the returned via the battery. in the event that they do locate that the telephone is water broken then it is going to value you $50 with AppleCare+ or $199 without the warrenty.
