  • My iphone stopped working, it wont turn on at all.. help?

I have an iLuv alarm/radio/mp3 player that i have plugged into a power strip. I havent had any problems with it and i normally plug my iphone 4g into it. (I dont have access to another phone at the moment otherwise i would just call customer service!) I was just using my phone to text, and then i took it out of my otter box that i keep it in to put it on the iLuv, and walked away for no more than a minute and went to see if i got a response from the person i was texting to find that both my phone and iLuv were not working.

I turned off the power strip and turned it back on, unplugged both the iLuv and the powerstrip and plugged it back in fully, and insured that i did, and the iLuv started working just fine but my phone did not. I have tried plugging it into another power source, because i remember my batter was low, but it had 20 something % left and it normally can run all the way down to like.. 5% without it turning off completely. I havent let it run lower than that but im sure it will go longer.

Its now been plugged into the regular wall charger for an hour and it still wont turn on at all. I tried to 'reboot it' by holding down both the home key and power key on top at the same time several times to see if that would do anything. Nothing.

I dont have a computer to plug it into since i am away from home and i would not want to have all of my data swiped by connecting it to a different computer than what i did when i first purchased my iphone.

HELP!!! I absolutely need to be able to use my phone on a regular basis for more than personal needs.

Any suggestions are appreciated! Thank you!

  • Where are the main Black hawk(UH-60) mechanic careers located?

    (In the USA)

My fiance is in the military right now, and when he retires from that, he plans to do the same thing, but as a civilian. In order for me to get my career going and be able to stay wherever he may end up, I need to know where his possible locations might be AS A CIVILIAN! By the time that his contract is up with the military, i will be done with college, so there is no concern as to where he will be during active duty.

Also, If you might know the major companies he could work for aside from dynacorp, as a black hawk mechanic, please list them!

    Thank you so much!

  • Car trouble with today's economy, what should i do?

I have a 1994 Dodge intrepid, and I make no payments on it, all i pay for it is insurance and gas. I am a high school student making $7 an hour and i hardly get 15 hours a week, when i try and push every shift for an extra hour or so.. Every shift I try to stay as late as possible, and im always picking up shifts for co-workers, and with all that work, I still only end up with at most $230 for two weeks. I pay for my own basic necessities (food, clothes, personal hygiene products, etc) while I am also trying to save money for a good laptop before I go to college, and I plan to move out of the house in about a year (by then I will get to work more since I wont be in school)

Until recently my intrepid has done what it needed to do.

here is what is wrong with my car

    -extremely loose tie rods

    -grommets missing

    -in need of an alignment

    -new fuses for my horn/radio

    -new battery (corroded)

-new belts (they're really badly cracked & frayed)

-the brake fluid is at 100ppm when it is required to be at at at least 200ppm

-really really really really loose steering

-has been over 50,000 on the same shocks & struts

    -exhaust system leaking

    -engine fluid leaks

    -slow leak in RF tire

-need two more tires (^^ including above)

My sister was the one that had the car before me, and didn't do preventive maintenance on it at all, and only changed the oil when it absolutely needed it, instead of after ever 3,000 miles.

The cost to replace the tie rods & get a new grommet would cost me $436.61 (mainly because of the time it would take to replace it)

That does NOT include the other replacements that are obviously needed. and.. clearly, i cannot afford this sort of maintenance until after about two months. I have a cell phone bill, insurance, and basic necessities to pay for first, so that is why it would take me that long (at the very least).. and i cant go without it, and I made an agreement with my parents that i would take care of everything myself aside from rent/gas/electric/water once I got a job, and I absolutely refuse to ask my parents to help, because I would have to pay them back, and I don't know how long that would take me, and I hate the feeling of owing someone money, I have always been very good with paying people back because of that. I hate it! Also, Especially with how the economy is going, I want to be able to learn on my own how to deal with saving money without asking others for help, I want to do this on my own!

Now, that you know that ^^ here are the choices.

    - I can either, take advantage of all the specials that car dealerships are presenting because they are desperate for sales, and get a much newer car that would only need maintenance checks and oil changes for a while, or - spend another 1,000 on the car I have now. After graduation in December.. I graduate early, ( I am guaranteed a waitress job for day shift) I can make enough to pay from the job i have now for the basic needs, and then my serving job to pay off the car within a reasonable amount of time.

I was looking at getting either some sort of KIA or an 05-07 chevy cobalt

Which, in the long run, do you think would be a smarter choice?(what would save me the most money, I plan on keep this car, whichever it turns out to be, for a very long time)

If you say keep my current car, what ways can i go about saving money on the costs, and how could i get it done in a faster process

If you say go with getting a newer car, What car would be best for me? I need something cheap, but obviously more reliable than my 14-year-old dodge. Also, it needs to have good gas mileage!

Thank you so much for all of your answers!!

  • I will be moving around alot, and im going to go to college online, what kind of laptop should i get?

I am very picky when it comes to computers, but right now i have to be a bit more open with the way the prices of everything is going.. I need a computer with a lot of memory because I am really big with music and photos, so there has to be room for that on top of saving documents for school. I know i can save to disc, and i plan on it, but only for back up. I dont want to have to take out a disc every time I want to look at something. But this all has to be within a reasonable amount of money. Im pretty sure this is just about impossible if it has good overall quality, but im trying to find something under $1,000 with all of that ^^^^^ but im not sure what brand to go with.. any suggestions?

  • What kind of life style does an air force linguist lead?

The life style never came to me, how conditions may be until my father really sat down with me and talked about the possible conditions with me. I plan to go into the air force and become an airborne linguist. This is what i wanted to do. Now understand that I am female, and I am white. I do not believe anyone in the middle east would listen to me, if i needed to speak with them. So, I do not plan on learning arabic, pashto, farsi, etc. unless that is the only way i can become a linguist for the airforce, as it is .. more than likely needed more than an italian or french linguist.

But. I want to know how the life style of a linguist is. Generally how long they go on tours, .. ahah what they do with their cars in between, anything basic to complex..I want to know as much as you know about the life style :)

( i say cars b/c as far as i know, generally tours are for about a year and you go back in forth from over seas to the states, i dont want to buy & sell a car every year.. >.< )

My interests direct me to Linguistics..

  • I got some earphones recently and id like to know what the stuff on the back meant.?

Well. I didnt get them. a friend did.. so i cant tell you exactly what it said.. but i think it had something to do with the measurement of how loud the earphones can get.. but it said something about sensitivity as well. It all was in some sort of measurements.. I just dont know what all it meant.

I want to know what those mean and how you can find out what is good for your ears and what is bad. Generally speaking, i know anything really loud is bad for your ears. I know that much!! I'd also like to know, what you would suggest to look at before purchasing ear/headphones! But please if any of you can help, It will be greatly appreciated!

    ((Merci beaucoup!))
