My interests direct me to Linguistics..
That is what i want to do. I want to be a linguist.
I've been having difficulty finding information on everything i need to know to be prepared.
I do know about taking the ASVAB, and i do know about SOME benefits that come with joining the AF.
But thats not enough.. if ANY of you know anything important that i may need to look into, please. let me know. If you are a recruiter or a linguist yourself - please.. tell me everything you can!!
Thank you for your time,

I am ex military and answer some of your questions. As for the ASVAB test you should have no problem passing the test as per your excellent question.
Go see a recruiter to get info. They will paint a rosy picture to get you to sign up so use caution.
Basic training is not easy and you need to be in shape.
Maternity Leave is avaiable but they do not give you much time off. Duty first family second. Sorry, but it is the military.
Good MOS or Military Occupation Skill. Much needed. Chinese and Arabic.
Living conditions are dependant on your duty assignment. I was stationed on the DMZ in Korea as a supply officer. Lived in tent city. However, I went to Biggs Army Airfield which was not bad

Air Force Basic Training isn't as rough as Army Boot Camp however it's not a picnic, both. After Basic and Tech School your boyfriend can plan on residing in a barracks with approximately one hundred-2 hundred different single humans. He shall be caught with a roommate he does not decide on, be advised whilst, in which, how a lot, and the way quite often to consume, find out how to organize the covers at the Air Force's mattress, find out how to organize the furnishings, and, whilst a speck of dirt is located within the Air Force's room, he's going to be advised he's "a HOG!" After he will get married he's going to be in a position to decide on in which to reside, what, whilst, in which, how a lot and the way quite often to consume and find out how to reside. I might certainly not endorse the navy as a profession to someoen who does not have dependents. There is an excessive amount of discrimination towards them and the advantages are not the identical.
